~ Near Exit Gate F17, Hanguk University, Daehak-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul
"Hey, sweet cheeks!" Wookyung skidded to a halt in front of only the thousandth exit on the college campus, catching Minho standing despondently against the general lockers. Why him... Why now... "Please leave me alone" Minho pushed himself away from the lockers and charted his walk of shame.
"Hyung, are you okay?" Wookyung slid into first gear and trailed slowly after him. "The first cl-ass- was great by the way. I thought a light first week would have been nice. But like you mentioned the re-ass-essment, I realised you're right. Pardon me, you look a bit bummed out... care to slide into the p-ass-enger seat"
This time Minho knew better than to look at him or pay him any heed. He kept on walking straight ahead as Wookyung tried talking to him "Listen, I'm not kidding! the weather isn't right, plus you're in a mood, you should get in. A warm car ride would be better than whatever you're thinking of doing right now"
"NO" Minho burst out in anger against his own will "I don't need your ridiculous car ride, okay? I don't need anything. After what you did to me in class today... I don't want to look at your face or interact with you! Please just leave! fucking leave already!" Wookyung smiled somberly "Alright... I understand" he smiled.
He rolled his passenger window back up, slightly accelerating and speeding ahead from where Minho was walking. His car showed no sign of halting. Suddenly, thunder roared across the already grey sky and an electric purple streak cracked down from the weighted clouds.
Within seconds, they were vertically washing down the earth with the coldest water possible. Minho stood still in the downpour and cursed at the ground. His body was a figure of utter dejection. He could feel the rain soak his suit and his front. He carefully took off his jacket to put it over his head, putting his briefcase strategically over his crotch.
Wookyung's car, some 10 metres away from him, slowed to a halt as the yellow interior lights inside the Rover came on. Minho looked up at it as the raindrops on his glasses made it hard to see, it looked like a hearth on a cold island. Fire was a mortal threat regardless. The wheels rolled back as Wookyung carefully reversed the car in his direction.
Moments later, he halted right next to him, leaning across the gear shift to roll down the window. "You're very fickle, Hyung... what made you change your mind?" he stifled a smile as he checked him out from head to toe. "Misfortune" Minho scowled under his jacket that was growing heavier as it soaked the rainwater.
"I hope you realise that if not for technical circumstances, I would want nothing from you except your absence?" he asked pointedly and Wookyung raised his brows. "I am a big believer in fate you know... What else would you call it when such technical circumstances keep pushing us together into a... steamy, little corner?" he reckoned.
Minho rolled his eyes heavily "Misery" he answered, still reluctant to get into the car with him. "Well you can be miserable here with me in this warm, dry car or you can walk home in this depressing shower as bikes speed by you, splashing you with puddle water" Wookyung shrugged and Minho clicked his tongue "I'd rather do the latter"
"Very well then" Wookyung graciously accepted, restarting his engine when Minho relented, quickly tapping on the window, asking him to open the door. He heard hyena cackles as the Devil took his time to pop open the to the passenger seat. "If I knew I'd get to see a rain-drenched, sexy-looking, slightly crabby Byun Minho before my eyes..."
"I would have made sure to get an eye exam because this is unbelievable-" he alluded to his wet front with his eyes and Minho immediately caught his chin, forcing it upwards "No looking, no touching, no talking" Minho cut him off before he said something cursed, counting off one hand as his formal winter suit clung more and more to his body.
