Feelings of Warmth

Miyagi Prefecture, During the walk home, Night Time

The least thing you had expected from being with Kageyama, was having to go through an awkward silence and scenarios because you two, bicker alot and on normal occasions it would be just talking. However, it has been ten minutes of walking and none of you were willing to talk, with that kind of air surrounding you.

The night sky was clouded, and the wind was chilly. The sweat from your previous matches were dried, leaving a wet surface that the wind would blow on. And because of this, you shrugged, feeling cold despite wearing the school tracksuit with a t-shirt inside. You stopped for a moment rummaging through your bag to find anything to keep you a little bit warmer. Honestly though, the awkward and already cold auras coming off of the both you did not make things in any way, better.

"What's wrong?" He asked stopping too, looking back at you with a scowl

"Shut your mouth, I'm trying to find something" Bickering is always better than awkwardness when it came to the two prodigies. They were both staring at each other weirdly, with different emotions coating their eyes despite their clear intentions of cutting the other down. Obviously no one knew where their sudden anger for each other comes from because it's like they had multiple personalities near the other. Being so friendly and sweet to being the spawns of the devil themselves. But then again this is Kageyama and Y/N we're talking about, they're always in their own world.

Kageyama clicked his tongue, not really minding the sudden set back to the already ruined planned, though his 'image' of being in a rivalry with you, had to be upheld as his pride and your own, won't allow you to.

Sighing defeatedly as you found no trace of warmth in your bag. Kageyama took one glance at you to immediately know that something was bothering you.

"I'll ask again, what's wrong?" He asked getting irritated from the silence he got

"I'm cold" You bluntly said, continuing to walk as if you didn't say such a suggestive act

"So? I'm cold too, don't think you're the only one" He shoved his hands into his pockets and catched up to you.

Few minutes has gone by again, and the store near your house was in view, making you perk up and sprinted there immediately. Kageyama getting used to someone running before him to get an upper hand, he catched up to you as a race and beat you to the store

"Why the heck were you running so fast" You asked, adjusting your bag and looking at his panting form

"Force of habit" He breathed opening the door for you subconsciously. You didn't much of it despite going a bit flush.

As you got your whole body in the store, you couldn't help but inhale heavily on the warmth the store heater gave. You skimmed through the different isles of convenience store food and items, even though you came here for one thing

Milk

Both of the teen's minds thought as the same time. The both of them of course only came for those stuff but tonight was different as no one was feeling the need to rush anything at the moment.

You found a bag of assorted gummy candies on the lower part of the shelf. You bent down properly, making sure your butt was not sticking out and having your knees together, to avoid any type of harassment and perverted looks. Kageyama popped his head on the isle you were in and checked out the different sets of candies there, also taking a look at your now tiny form

"What do you think? Junk food themed or dessert themed?" You asked holding up two packs of the gummy candies that interested you the most

"Junk food? " He said only seeing the pizza and hotdog ones out of the bunch

"Wait- why are you even asking me?" He followed, blurting out the question out of nowhere

"Because I couldn't chose? Kageyama, you're smarter than this" you said standing up and dusting yourself. You went on to find other types of snacks you probably won't be eating in another couple of days. Kageyama was most likely going the same thing as he payed for a pork bun immediately, and ate it as he roamed.

"Is that even allowed?" You asked wanting to try it out yourself

"Dunno, don't care" He shrugged glancing at the sleepy cashier who didn't give a fuck anyways. You rushed to the counter and payed for it, opening it once the cashier was far away

"Want some?" You asked jiggling the gummy bag to his face. He slapped your hand to the side from the stupid gesture but decided to take one anyways

You chuckled at the tsundere side of his coming out and making itself known to your eyes. For pay back for that hand slap he did, you grabbed his arm and took a bite of his pork bun. It was soft and warm making you feel tingly inside.

"Wha-" He gasped as the pork bun in his hand was now a bite smaller

"It was payback. Plus, I'm giving you some of my gummies, learn how to share" You teased now heading to your final destination of the store.

The milk was standing there in all of its glory, being chilled in a right temperature that suited the thirsts of the people like you. You and Kageyama went for the handle at the same time and when your hands were about to touch, the both of you jumped back a little with now scowling faces. Ah, the sweet moments are now gone

"The fuck?" He deadpanned whilst you did the same

"Dude, you ruined a moment" You sighed opening the door yourself, making him flinch

"Says the one who went for it first" He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms across his chest

"If you knew I went for it first, why would you go for it then?" You teased, tempting him a little as he just sighed

You squished the milk cartons a little bit to feel their temperatures before tossing one to Kageyama

"Here" He was taken aback for a moment but seemed to have catched it making your worry for the milk, fade away

You got yourself a carton too before heading to the counter together, still snacking on the gummies and occasionally sneaking a bite into his pork bun. You both payed the respective amount and hid away the already opened snacks to the cashier as he scanned it through. After that he was back to his open eyed sleeping and you and Kageyama were on your way out

"Alright, my stop is that way and yours is there" You pointed to different directions of the street, your hearts aching a little for the short time

"Yeah yeah...goodnight" He bid farewell, making it seem like he was already walking away to the other side, making you walk too

"Yeah.. goodnight" You said, waving a little before fully turning your body around towards your home.

When you felt far enough from him, the raven haired boy stopped, looking at your back as you walked away to make sure you were safe. He was backing away slowly when you started to fade into the distance where your home would be. Knowing you were probably at your front gate or somewhere near, he walked away completely, going back to his own home, where the feeling of warmth you both felt in that small convenience store would be gone

I'm back with a chapter with a lil fluff in it. I felt as though the intimacy was lacking and decided to make this chapter into a soft and cute one. I honestly don't know about the execution but please do tell if you weren't satisfied with it
