Miyagi Prefecture, Karasuno High,
Tuesday, After School

You were now standing by the gate waiting for the volleyball team to show up.

It wasn't long till they arrived and you rode with them on the bus towards the powerhouse school of Seijoh.

You were safe to say that alot of eventful things happend at the bus and let's just say you were glad that you weren't next to Hinata.

Everyone in the team head toward the court while you sniff the nostalgic smell of salon pass.

"Ahh! The salon pass! " Hinata had said. Everyone gave him a questioning look as you held his shoulder and patted it a little. He gave you a confused look but you just chuckled and told him to stretch

You made your way to the bleachers but Kiyoko stopped you and asked you to keep her company.

The guys were currently stretching and you were having small talk with your gorgeous senpai

"Have you ever played the sport before, Kiyoko-san? " You asked as you glanced at her.

"To be honest with you, the moment I was recruited as the team's manager, I didn't knew a single thing, not one bit" She answered truthfully as a small smile crept to her face "I never regretted it though " She finished now looking at you.

You smiled "Glad to know" you gave her a smile and you helped her with the charts

As you helped Kiyoko with the charts and other necessities for the team, you couldn't help but glance at the other team

Aoba johsai huh...

You were thinking in your head as you looked at their lineup. The game didn't take too long to start and they were playing normal, no big tricks or threats.

That's weird... They haven't made much of a big play... I wonder what's happening

"Hey Kiyoko-san?" You called to her and she looked up and gave you a look to continue "I believe this isn't the main line up of Aoba Johsai in real matches" you said and she put down her charts on her lap as she looked at you like she knows exactly what you're talking about

"Apparently their main setter is absent today. It must be from the injury he had gotten"

Injury? I wonder what type...

You thanked Kiyoko and continued to watch the game. As you were watching you noticed someone familiar, someone that looked like you had seen before. It was really bugging you so you decided to approach them later on

It was almost the end of the second set and it looks like Karasuno is winning. You were sure that they'll win if they keep this up, that is until a certain someone showed up

Oikawa Tōru

The great king as Hinata calls him. He was on a higher level, a level that screamed expert and experienced.

The moment he stepped on the court, you couldn't help but feel a knot twist in your stomach.

He's dangerous... Be careful you guys.

Since he showed up late, he was only there as a pinch server and didn't last long in the court.

If he was here from the start, they could've won easily

Karasuno won with the scores 25-23. You approached the boys trailing behind Kiyoko and they had the same face as you did when Oikawa stepped on the court.

A look of envy and disbelief

Kageyama and Oikawa were 'talking' but Hinata dragged Kageyama away and started talking to him about Oikawa

You glanced at the Aoba Johsai members and to your surprise, someone actually noticed you.

"Ne, isn't that L/N-san? " A turnip headed like male said. You glanced at him and he looked away flustered. It wasn't long till he looked at you again and you approached him with a calm looking boy beside him

"Yo!" You called out as you stop infront of the two "Did you want something?" You asked, you knew what they wanted, or atleast you thought, but you still asked them

"Aren't you L/N Y/N, Queen Of The Court Prodigy? " The calm looking boy asked, but it sounded like he stated it

"Ah! Kindaichi and Kunimi-san!" You finally remembered, you always see them when you watch matches since they were Kageyama's teammates

"Oh, you actually remembered!" Kindaichi said with a bewildered look on his face.

"I knew you looked familiar" You said giving a slight grin "You too, Kunimi-san" You then turned to him and bowed your head slightly, and he did the same

"So, what're you doing here L/N-san? " Kindaichi asked and you turned your attention to him "Are you and Kageyama dating?! " realizing something he abruptly said, he turned away, looking at Kunimi for backup. Kageyama had heard his name and went to your direction. You were red like a tomato as tried your best to explain, but you couldn't form a single word

"I-i ...it's-.... W-wha-?" To your relief, Kageyama explained for you.

"She's a student at Karasuno. No, she's not my girlfriend and she's here cause she wanted to" You sighed and gave a thankful look to Kageyama. Kageyama blushed slightly but hid it away quickly

"Karasuno's lucky to have the King and Queen on their side, huh?" Kunimi said as he walked away with Kindaichi following him after a moment

Kageyama looked mad, he didn't like being called King, especially from his former teammates who had given him such a nickname. You put your hand on his shoulder to calm him down, and to your surprise he did. You gave him a carton of milk that you had bought during one of the breaks earlier and walked with him back to the team

"Oh! It's Y/N-san and Kageyama-kun! " Hinata shouted as he waved his hand around. You chuckled softly and you saw Kageyama mumbled something under his breath

"Who gave you permission to call her that, boke! "

But of course you didn't hear it and brushed it off as you talked with Hinata

"Ne, Y/N-san, when do you think you'll be able to teach me how to do the fuuwah and swoosh in your spikes! " He asked, eager to learn with a glisten in his eyes . You patted his head as you told him to get some rest first and to see you whenever he's free for some practice.

I'm also sorry for not updating much since I've been caught up with school and I have been editing the chapters every now and then because I want you to have the best version of this book!
