The Forgotten

Miyagi Prefecture, Karasuno High,
Monday, The Class Before Lunch

It was now Monday, and you were contemplating whether to ask if you could watch the practice match tomorrow or not. As you sit in class, your eyes went towards the volleyball gym.

I miss it...

A sudden tap on your arm break your train of thoughts as Yachi asked if you could pick up her eraser. You gladly picked it up and started to pay attention to class

It was now lunch, and you went to the cafeteria with Yachi by your side. You sat down with her at a table near the door to the outside and excused yourself as you wanted to get a drink, and when you mean drink, you mean milk

You walked to the nearest vending machine and saw Kageyama pressed two buttons at the same time.

The heck is he doing? Is he trying to break the machine?! You thought to yourself as you sprinted towards Kageyama as you screamed a "Nooooooooo! "

He gave you a confused look as you stared at the vending machine wiping the glass screen like your comforting it, while saying sweet nothings like

It's gonna be fine

My milk is fine

Kageyama will pay for his sins

And stuff like that. Kageyama asked what you were doing and you simply said "If you broke this vending machine with my precious milk, I will snap your ankles so bad you won't be able to play volleyball anymore" You remembered what happened at the Sakanoshita Store last Saturday and you will not stand there while he ruins your supply of milk

"Jeez, I just wanted to have two in the price of one, it's not that bad.. " he said as he said pressing different buttons at once

"H-Hey stop! " you said grabbing his hands and swept them to the sides.

"Why don't you try it? " He sweat dropped.

"What if I break it? This vending machine must cost a lot... " You said as you grabbed your wallet to grab the exact coins needed for the drink

"Then blame it to the others... No one will know anyways" He answered, now taking a huge slip from his carton.

You thought about it, and you gave in the temptation after a long thought.

"Finee!" You said as you put in the coin while Kageyama chuckled lightly

He should smile more, he looks cute

You hesitantly pressed the two buttons for the milk at the same time, and to your suprise, it dropped two

Kageyama was bewildered while you stood there shocked.

"I think I broke it" You said as you knelt down to grab the cartons of milk
Kageyama was now out of his trance when you offered the other carton of milk to him.

"Thanks for telling me that trick" You said as you stabbed the straw into the specified hole. Kageyama did the same still bewildered a little while he thought

Does this vending machine have any favorites?!

He looked like he had constipation and you giggled at this

You both sat down at the bench nearby to enjoy the small company the two of you shared...

"So.. " Kageyama said breaking the silence "Are you coming to match tomorrow?" He asked not looking at you while sipping his milk

"Can I? " You looked at him with hopeful eyes

"I guess, the match wouldn't interfere with your time in school. " He said now looking at you as he stood up and stretched

"I would love to! " You stood up as well and gave Kageyama a small punch on the shoulder

"You think I can watch your practice later? I wanna talk to Sawamura-san"
The two of you were now walking side by side as you made your way back to the cafeteria

"I guess he wouldn't mind" He shrugged as he walked the opposite way

You went back to your table as Yachi greeted you and told you to sit down. You and her had small talk while you two ate.

It was now after school and you excused yourself from your class as you made your way to the gym. Excitement had blessed your body and you met Hinata on your way there

"Oh! Shōyo!! " You yelled and he stopped so you could catch up to him.

"Where are you going, Y/N?" He asked slightly bending down so he could catch your eyes.

"Oh! I'm going to ask Sawamura-san if I could watch the practice match tomorrow" You said stretching your arms a bit as you looked down at Hinata

"Nice! Make sure you watch my awesome quick! " He face you a thumbs up as he removed his indoor shoes to replace them with volleyball ones

"Of course I will!" You stepped in the gym walking slighty behind Hinata.

The other members of the team noticed you instantly as you saw other members being there. There were two new faces that you saw and another one who you slightly recognized

"Ah! Y/N, these are my other senpais! " He started as he walked you towards them. You bowed slightly and they gave you a small one too

"Here they are! " He yelled a little too loud as he showed them off

"Oh! You must be that girl who made Daichi-san mad" The blonde one spoke up, laughing slightly. You winced a little at those words as flashbacks of your little fight with Kageyama broke through your head

"How rude of me, I'm Kinnoshita Hisashi, a second year! " He beamed you a smile. You gave him a small one as you introduced yourself  "Nice to meet you! I'm L/N Y/N, a first year"

"Are you in the girls team? " a sudden voice asked, he was a boy -you're guessing a second year- that was next to Kinnoshita

"A-ah! About that... " You trailed off as you scratched your cheek "I'm not really in a club.. " You said bowing down a little

"Sorry if I offended you, my name is Ennoshita Chikara, I'm also a second year" he smiled a little and extended his hand which you gladly accepted

"Why aren't you in a club, L/N-san? " Another guy spoke up "If you don't mind me asking" He added a little nervous

"Nothing really stood up to me yet" You lied, you wanted to join the girls team and you needed to get back to the court

"Well hope you find one soon, I'm Narita Kazuhito. If you hadn't already noticed by now we're the 'Forgotten' "
He joked slightly grabbing his fellow second years by their shoulders

"The Forgotten? Is there a story behind it or something? " You asked, confused as to why they would call the sweet second years such name. They were about to answer you as Daichi spoke up.

"Alright, let's start stretching!" Daichi said as his voice illuminates the place. You walked to Daichi and asked him a question "Sawamura-san, can I watch your game tomorrow?"

"Sure, if you want to join us to going there then meet us by the gate after school" he said as he started to stretch too.
