Harry

It was Saturday rising and I couldnt sleep for a spilt second the night before. She hadn't contacted me again, though I'd been stubborn and I'd written her a letter to check on her health.

Giving up, I finally wrote to Hermione, who said that Ginny was adament on being alone but Ed forced his way to be with her. He snuck out after Ginny'd left.

I wrote to Ed eventually who explained that they went to the dark forest and the wolfsbane worked since she saw and left him alone. I was thankful of him being stubborn and helping her out and informing me that she was okay.

I couldn't wait to see her but could she not want the same? That question boggled my mind and I realized I had to get up when i heard a thud in the kitchen downstairs. Groaning, I slid out and changed into my pants and collared shirt, along with my coat. The chilly autumn had begun and the wet conditions weren't the best.

"You ready, mate?" Ron clapped his hands, waiting by the fireplace for me. He was perfectly dressed in dark blue robes and my guess was that he was excited to see Hermoine. That was my highlight, I knew someone was going to be excited to see me for sure. I nodded and we took the floo powder, and called for Professor McGonagall's office. She looked up at us with a grim eye as we landed and spread ashes all over the wooden floor.

"Good morning, Mr. Potter. Mr. Weasley." She nodded from behind her desk.

"Good morning, Professor." We spoke together.

"Thank you for letting us join." I acknowledged.

"Of course, Potter. You are welcome, that is after you seek my permission." She gave a small smile.

"We just wanted to see the tryouts and meet a few friends." Ron smiled.

"Enjoy." She waved at the door and it opened for us. We thanked her again and headed out. I, for one, couldn't see a portrait i thought would be hung by now. There was no portrait of Professor Snape in the Headmaster's office. As we were on the stairs, I asked Ron to go ahead and that I'd meet him at the stadium. Running back up, I knocked at the door and it opened for me again.

"Mr. Potter, how may I help you?" She was still reading through some things.

"Professor, I couldn't help but notice that there is no Portrait of Professor Snape in this office." I almost stuttered walking up the steps to where her desk stood. The memories of the times I'd been in this office, horrfied and commemorated my life that seemed to be a whole different reality of mine.

"I was actually hoping to get your input on that, Mr. Potter. According to regulations, we're supposed to hang every previous Headmaster's Portrait in the office but since... Professor Snape had... a different history, I wondered if you could fill me in on his works with Voldemort." She leaned on the table.

"Professor." I crossed my fingers in front of me and stood forth her, "Professor Snape was on Dumbledore's side till the end. It is only fitting if he gets his portrait in this office. Not only was he the Headmaster but he was also a brave man. He protected this school, even if that wasn't within our knowledge." Professor McGonagall looked at me for a bit as I finished and then straightened. I saw a glint in her eye and then a smile forced on her lips.

"Very well, Potter, until next time then." She nodded and I bobbed my head in an appreciation before turning and leaving but not before looking at the Portrait of Professor Dumbledore which had him smiling at me.
