Harry was sleeping peacefully, bare chested and handsome. My husband. His chest lifted and fell as he relaxed back in the pillows. We'd been married for three months now. Hermione and Ron wedded the next day and Harry and I stayed up all day and night, setting the wedding up. Their special day was chosen to be the best of their lives. Hermoine looked so radiant, laughing as Ron made a fool of himself through the vows. They danced together all night and Ron could not stop staring at her being all dressed up in that beautiful white gown that dragged the floor beauty her as she walked. That wedding really went on all day and night.
After our wedding, Harry booked a trip to Paris for him and I, while Ron and Hermione went to Hawaii and then eventually we met in New York before heading back. It was a complete muggle world experience for Ron and I. I was completely in awe of how different life was without magic. It wasn't that our world wasn't a complete thrill, it was just... different. A little difficult but beautiful. It was a new experience for all of us because Harry and Hermione'd never travelled that much either. The trip lasted a month or so and then life was back to a new start. Ron started his job at the Ministry along with Hermione who'd completed her training before the wedding and were now living together in a house somewhere in London.
As for our little Teddy he was nearing a good age of two and growing everyday. He was a blessing to the two of us. Life got difficult every other day but whenever we had the chance of coming home to the other and the little bundle of joy, things would seem better. My preparations for the upcoming spring season were on the go. I'd been to five meets in the past two weeks and it'd gotten tiring to the slightest.
Teddy wasn't a Horcrux. Harry told me that Malfoy was playing me the whole time so I would give up the real Horcrux. Harry said he didn't know what it was and whenever he'd figure it out, he'd let me know. Though he was the worst liar on the planet, as I ran my fingers on the curve of his waist, I felt my body shiver. I'd stabbed him with the Horcrux and he said he didn't know what it was. Typical Harry, protecting me through and through.
Yes, I remembered every single moment of the incident. Being possessed by yet another object of dark matters. I'd let my guard down and in that one spell, I'd turned into a monster who not only hurt the one person who loved her but also thought about possibly using the killing curse on a one year old boy. At this thought, I slid out of bed and watched Harry stir but go back to a deep slumber where his lips parted but no snore sounded. I loved him so much. I married him. Despite feeling the guilt of hurting him rip through me everyday, I married the man, simply because he wanted me to do so.
The idea that he was genuinely adamant on getting me married to him was confirmed when the night he asked me for the last time to marry him, he took me to the Godrics Hollow and stood us in front of his parents, telling them that he was marrying the one woman he ever brought to meet them. I was completely taken and I knew that just like before, I could get through this and this time, I wasn't going to let Harry feel the burden of it. He'd dealt with enough of mine and the world's problems and didn't need more on his plate. Eventually, I planned to pretend a loss of memory of the whole event.
I snuck out of our bedroom and headed straight for the room that was next to ours. Teddy's room. It was quiet. Dark. Teddy wasn't in there, so it felt cold. I didn't go in there and went to the room that was once mine and Hermione's every time we visited the Grimauld Place when Sirius... was alive. I shut the door of the room and slid down against the door. Waving my wand, I hushed the room. And then... I screamed. The pain, the nightmares, the guilt, everything would burn through me in these few minutes that I would take out for myself. I would scream, cry, wish for the faint vision of blood on my hands to disappear. What happened this time was worse than the chamber. This time, I was working with darker thoughts, hurting people and completely brainwashed in the worst ways, not to mention, hadn't lost memory of any of the incidents. The room was dark and I could see shadows of tall human by the window.
