Beholding Trust
Part 9
Asbah couldn't help but to feel for the man who had understood her unsaid pain, seen her longing for her daughter and still doesn't let her go.
He was nothing but a guardian angel for her and zaara.
Asbah was lost in her own thoughts, she had stopped crying but he could feel the guilt surfacing her again, she was looking down not meeting his eyes while her hold on his hands had loosened a bit.
He could easily understand her. He freed his one hand and caressed her cheeks.
"Zaara ke paas chalen? I promised her that we will be with her soon.." he asked his wife who was still holding his hands and looking down.
She looked up and saw the expression in his eyes. His dark brown eyes only had the hint of acceptance for her. His lips were turned upwards in a small curve as he furrowed his eyebrows and asked her.
She nodded and left his hands and was about to go but was pulled back by her husband.
"Go and wash your face, warna meri beti darr jayegi apni mama ko aise dekhkar."
Her eyes turned wide and he couldn't help but smirk as she went towards the ensuite. Few minutes later, Asbah came with her face now devoid of any tears all cleaned up, her hair tied up in a neat ponytail and her face had that smile that was reaching her eyes.
Shahyaan for the first time saw her how she should be free from all the worries, even though her eyes were swollen but his heart was finally at peace knowing that it wasn't because she was hurting herself deep within.
She smiled at her husband who came towards her took her towards the dressing. Her back was pressed to his front, his one hand was on her waist and he bend a little a placed a kiss on her cheek.
Asbah's eyes fluttered close and she closed down as his hand caressed her waist.
"Aankhen kholiye Asbah aur dekhiye upar". His deep manly voice made her look directly into his through their reflection in the mirror.
"Yahan kyun?" She asked not getting what he was hinting at. This wasn't the first time that she was close to him like this but this was definitely the first time where she was having him close to her but for the first time she felt much more closer to him.
She wanted to say so many things to him but nothing came out from her mouth.
She turned a little and asked him, not getting any thing else.
"Zaara.."
Even though she wanted to see zaara immediately but right now it felt more like an excuse to her.
Shahyaan smiled and tucked those messy strands that weren't tucked well in her pony.
"Bas yeh Dikhana hai ki aise hi rahiye hamesha. Is muskurahat ke saath aur aise hi aapki aankhon mein chamak rahe hamesha."
Asbah for a change looked at her reflection in the mirror. But all she could see was him and her own reflection. She couldn't see what her husband was hinting at and that was observed by her husband. Shahyaan saw her looking lost like a little child and realised that his wife wasn't actually ready to face the atrocities of life when she should have looked for herself. As the result she couldn't even see how her own reflection has changed over the years.
He smiled and vowed to give her a better life, a life she could cherish without any pain.
He gave her his hand and she immediately put it on his as he lead her towards the source of their eternal bliss.
