AfreenPart 24
The dinner was eventful but Shayaan's whole attention was on his wife. He had already planted the thoughts in Suhail's mind and Kamraan was quiet. The man didn't said anything. He instead on the other hand had enjoyed the dinner feast and had talked on nonsensical things with Shayaan.
Shayaan had already done what was needed to be done. Removing an adversary without using muscle power.
Let him fight with his own grandfather for all he cares, as long as he stays away from his family all will be good.
Shayaan Junaid Khan had a bigger task to accomplish.
His wife was upset and he was sure that there was something big. His Dua does not cry for just anything and today her tears had hurted him a lot. His wife chose to let her pain flow in the form of tears and this was something he didn't liked.
Shayaan went to their room in order to search her. As soon as the guests left, she had excused herself and one thing he noticed was her coldness towards her mother.
His Chachijaan and chachajaan were also worried for her.
After searching her in the entire haveli, he moved towards the only place that was left, "The Terrace". Dua loves to spend her time on the terrace and that's how he found her.
Wearing only a thin shirt and her loose pyjamas. Her hair were tied in a messy braid and by her hunched form over the swing, he knew that she was distressed over something.
Moving slowly towards her, he made sure to call her before approaching her.
He could never scare her like he had done once few months back by mistake.
"Itni raat mein yahan kya kar rahi hain aap begum?" Shayaan asked his wife who was still sitting on the terrace even though it was two hours past their bed time.
"Hamen neend nahi aarahi..," she answered him without looking at him. Her hands were draped across her small form in an attempt to hide herself. She was sitting crossing her legs, draping her hands on her knees.
"Aur wo kyun?"
Shayaan took the space beside her not wanting to intrude her personal space, maintaining a small space between them.
The place was same, they were same, they had spent some time alone in the wee hours of the morning on the first day after their wedding and again they were there.
"Hamen nahi pata..," she again replied him, still not looking at him.
Shayaan held her hands and turned her face towards him. He wanted her to look at him. He knew that this time he would have to force her to speak.
He couldn't let her bottle up everything inside her and hurt herself.
"Tell me what is bothering you?" His tone was a little harsh. He was now worried. She never behaved liked this.
Not when she was only his cousin and he had never seen her like this specially now when they are married. The Dua he knew always spoke her mind, she was like a child who would speak the truth but this girl infront of him wasn't recognisable.
She was just a mere replica of his wife.
Dua didn't said anything, she looked at their clasped hands but didn't looked at him nor said anything.
Shayaan moved a little closer to her and pulled her chin up.
"Look at me jaan... tell me what is bothering you? Tell me What are you so scared of Dua?" Shayaan asked his wife who was making sure not to have an eye contact with him.
