Beholding trust
Part 4
Shahyaan was watching her from the time she had come. Even though she was not ready but she had come and he knew that The new Mrs. Shahyaan Ahmed Malik as his staff addressed her, were finding it difficult not to talk seeing her so simple yet elegant.
Strangely enough he never had this kind of feeling for Fariya. There was always a comfort level with fariya. Maybe it was the result of them knowing each other from a long time. But with Asbah, Shahyaan was finding a new dimension of his life.
As he observed his staff and Asbah all he could infer that "Maybe fariya was known to his staff", thought Shahyaan.
His eyes were glued to her capturing her every single moment and one thing that grabbed his attention was the soft look that she was giving to the daughter of one of his staff.
Asbah had come to the party and it was just her simplicity and smile that had made his eyes follow her each and every move. She was looking really pretty in the black saree that was draped in an elegant manner. His dadijaan had accompanied her and Shahyaan could see that she was still not comfortable. It was like he could read her nowadays.
She had been with his grandmother from the time she had come. Not that he mind but now he could gather that much that Asbah had actually never denied him anything. Nothing in their relationship was actually that he had seen her doing on her own.
He still remember that their wedding was a small affair and whenever he had tried to meet her, talk to her, it was always with her mother or father accompanying her. He remember how aloof and distant she had appeared when he had seen a young woman, she was younger than his deceased wife fariya and already had faced a lot in her life.
A face that was devoid of any emotion. It was like she had forgo the will to be happy and he had thought that was the reason why her parents had forced her in the marriage again. Shahyaan needed no second thoughts to know that she was pressurized for her own self unlike him who thought that he was performing a duty.
As Shahyaan was contemplating the situations, he saw that his wife in a corner kneeling infront of a toddler. One of his staff had bought his daughter having no other option and seeing his wife smiling and playing with the little girl a smile automatically played on his face.
"Even it's not me, someone can bring a smile on her face. A smile that was from her heart." He thought with a small itch that was now appearing frequently.
**
His dadijaan had left the party sometime back and now he was accompanied by his wife. Shahyaan could see her reluctance and to make her feel at ease he slowly made held her by her waist.
As Asbah felt his warm hand on her waist. She looked at him and saw that he was still talking with his client. Asbah had hesitated when Shahyaan had asked her to come but his words had eased her.
"Asbah, I know you never experienced this type of gathering but as the owner of the company I can't take any woman. There is nothing to fear. You can think that this will give you the exposure to any thing you want to do in future." His words regarding her future had left her stunned.
"Her future.. his words had stunned her. The more she would try to understand Shahyaan as a husband, the more she gets confused.
"You are the not the first woman who will be sacrificing Asbah. Look, I am providing for both of us. Why do you need to embarrass me by working. Married woman do not work in our household."
"Asbah my family is yours now. It's your duty to make sure that they are taken off. And the unsaid words that she recognised were.. you are my wife. It's your responsibility."
