I paced my cell before slumping down to the cold floor. It's been about three days since me and Darius' incident. "You alright?" Tate asked and I just nodded.

He ended up getting 27 stitches in the side of his head and has a mild concussion but we've each had worse.

"I'm so sick and tired with staring at the same crack everyday." He groaned. "They took all my damn weapons at the hospital." He explained hitting his head against the wall. "My head hurts like a motherfucker." He complained for the hundredth time.

I heard the heavy footsteps decent down the steps making my breath hitch as the wonderful scent filled the basement. I looked over at Tate worried for him.

I would get us out of here, but I don't think I'd be able to move Tate on my own and he's in no condition to go anywhere.

'You aren't leaving me again.' Darius stated clearly through our private communication. He stood in front of my cell with a large plate full of food. I looked over it.

Broccoli, mashed potatoes, steak, corn, and salad. He pushed it into my cell and, I puked. I pushed the food away from me unconsciously and into Tate's cell continuing to empty my guts onto the floor. "Are you okay?" Tate asked from behind me and I could feel his worried gaze.

I turned and wiped my mouth sitting in the corner closer to my affiliate and closed my eyes. "You wanna try to keep some down?" He asked and I shook my head. He reached through the bars and rubbed my back slowly making me feel slightly better about things.

"She needs to eat." Darius growled in front of us.

'I can't.' I linked him for the first time for three days. He gave me a stare down but I never changed my argument.

"Alpha could you get her some water please?" Tate asked looking down at me.

"Sure." He snapped moving away.

"Gale you need to tell me what's really going on here." Tate pressed getting more serious by the second. I sighed and took the collar of my shirt and moved it along with my hair. "Him?" He asked hurt and I nodded. He looked at me long and hard before moving away from me I reached out for him.

This rejection stung.

It stung more than when my father dumped me in the woods.

It hurt because I actually cared for him.

Darius came with a bucket of water glanced at us before opening my cell and placing the bucket next to me. "I like it better this way." He whispered next to my ear before exiting slowly and yelling down the steps. "Oh and try not to kill anyone when I sent someone down to clean up your mess!"

~

"C'mon." Darius said pulling me up and out of my cell. I looked at Tate and he turned his back to me making me choke on my spit.

He ushered me up the steps and to the decent sized hospital without a single word pushing the door open. "Just keep quiet."

Like I wasn't going to.

"Hi Alpha you made an appointment?"

"Yes."

"Room 204."

"Thank you Marie." He said interlacing our fingers for a quick second before I pulled them out. "Gale you can't resist the connection we have. We're fully bonded." He said as the elevator binged telling us to get off.

"Afternoon Alpha, and Luna Cameron." The doctor greeted as I sat down. "This is a follow up right?" I nodded and Darius slumped into a chair. "How have you been since last time I've seen you?"

Depressed.

Alone.

Misunderstood.

Angry, at myself.

"She's been good doc."

Yeah because you actually spend time with me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Any migraines or frequent headaches."

Yes.

"No." Darius answered again.

"Nightmares?"

Only one.

"Not that I am aware of."

"Well everything seems fine. Just let me see your mark and you'll be good to go." He said.

He reached for my neck and Darius growled low. He ran a finger down the scars making me self aware and move away furrowing my eyebrows. He gave me a sorry look and I exited to room without permission until being snatched up by Darius. "What was that?"

I pointed to the scar that now extended from right behind my ear to my waistband and traced it like my doctor did. "You are fine." He spoke quietly caressing my cheek with his hand. "Now I need to take you back down to the cells." He said grabbing my arm gingerly.

He left the cage open for a second and leaned in cupping my face. He placed his lips on my quickly before pulling away. "Goodnight Kitten." He purred closing the cell and leaving me alone.

Goodnight Tate. I thought.

I faced him for a minute looking at his back before sighing and laying besides the bucket.
