"Night!" Darius yelled from the other room. I settled uncomfortably on the mattress before turning on my side. I stared at the wall for a while before laying flat on my back And staring at the ceiling.

Why can't I sleep?

I sat up defeated and tossed the duvet over my shoulders. I opened the bedroom door slowly not trying to wake Darius.

I put the cover over Darius on the futon and slid in next to him. I felt his warm arms drape around my waist and his breath fan my face. "Couldn't sleep either?" I shook my head and snuggled closer to the wall of heat. I felt him kiss my forehead softly before whispering incoherent words.

~

I woke up with no one next to me. No surprise. I changed into a tank top and shorts throwing on my converse and jogging out the house towards the main hall. You can't stop me and my rights.

I jogged into the training room met by a serious faced Jacob. "Luna you can't be in here."

"In the training hall and on the battle field my name isn't Luna its Cameron." I said with power.

"No Lu- I mean Cameron. Alpha has strict orders about training women. The men take care of the women on the battle field and the women take care of the men and children in the house. It's common sense."

"Well this women can care for herself." I said matter-of-factly. Jacob let out a thick throaty chuckle in amusement. "Is something funny?" He straightened up when those words came out if his mouth. He means business.

"He's looking for you." My frown deepened. "You should go. When he gets mad it's hard to control his actions. And from the mind link that was just made I'd say he's royally pissed." I nodded and exited the hall going to the small cottage next door.

"Where have you been?" I turned around slowly putting on a faux smile. That turned into a large smirk. "Answer me." He took a step closer trying to intimidate me. One more step. My hand reached for my thigh resting on the cluttered knives. "Cameron." His voice low and eerie.

He took one last step and before I could register my swift moment one of my throwing knives was embedded in a the trunk of a tree twenty feet behind Darius. His ear bleeding. "I'm keeping it." He said marching over to the tree and yanking it out. "Now tell me where the hell were you?" I shrugged turning and to open the door-locked. I felt the heat radiating off his chest and onto my back. All his breaths deep and slow.

He reached over my shoulder unlocking the door before pushing it open and shoving me into the house slamming the door behind us. He had me pinned against the wall in a matter of seconds holding me up by the neck.

Those silver eyes piercing through my soul like silver swords. I smirked at him and he raised an eyebrow his once cocky smirk becoming a confused frown. I wrapped my legs around his torso and pulled him down to the floor pushing off the wall with my arms. He let out a groan as I stood up walking away.

I take two steps before tripping under myself and falling to the floor this time with Darius above me-smirking like an idiot. Jerk.

I could kill him but that would be like chopping off half my body. But I could kill him. I smirked at myself like an idiot.

'You are an idiot.'

'Whatever.' I mumbled back blocking her out.

"Now tell me where the fuck were you?" I once again shrugged getting off the floor only to be pushed back down, hard. Oh the things I could do to him. I glared at him getting back up. I stood to his chest strong and proud ready to beat this shit out of this 'little' asshole.

I shrugged much to his annoyance and walked towards the front door. In not going to stand here and let him abuse me. "Where the hell do you think, you're going?" I didn't even let the words or his attitude sink in as I slammed the door closed.

I'm comin' home, I'm comin' home don't tell the world I'm comin' home.

I thought to myself slipping into the nearby woods. I was quiet and careful making sure not to make a lot of noise. I stayed as far away from the tree line as possible hiding in the shadows.

The world around me darkened sooner than I liked forcing me to sleep in a tree for the night. All the memories coming back as my eyes closed.

*Flashback*

Thirteen-scared, alone, being chased, need sleep.

I scaled the tree with ease the wolves around me unable to do so. So stupid.

I sat my butt on a thick branch and chewed on the bread savoring every taste. The barking subsided and I looked down to see the four beast gone. "Why hello." I spun around falling from the tree and onto my butt. I took out a kitchen knife and pointed at the three men around me.

I stood up slowly my head to his chest. I tilted my head up and to the side looking at him like and idiot before spinning and slitting all of the males throats in one slice. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

I was on the ground seconds later my breast confined in the dirt. "I'll find a good use for you sweetheart don't you worry your pretty little face."

*flashback over*

I woke my attention snapping under me as I stood against the bark. My ears pricked up and I heard feet rushing past me about a mile ahead. I peered through the leaves below me keeping still as a rock.

I sniffed the air getting scents. Masculinity and-shit. Ugh why me why the damn alpha.

I threw my arms up in frustration before sliding down the tree and shifting into a sprint. I still have two knives left and my speed. Well not much speed compared to the devil but I can try.

I ran towards the moving water up ahead hearing the paws pound on the ground more desperate to get to me. I sped up hoping to get away from the anguish that was given to me not to long ago.

I heard and felt the presence behind me as I stopped abruptly I front of the stream sending them into it. I stood there staring for a few minutes before turning towards the tree line. I heard splashing as four men stepped out soaked. Two of which I already know.

Four men.

Four men.

Four-

I was off. I dashed into the forest hearing the shouts and orders behind me but not paying any attention to what the words were. To me they were just gibberish and a foreign language glued together and stomped on.

Their heavy footsteps seemed so far away as I focused on the hollowed out large oak that I could most likely fit into. And if I couldn't do that I could climb it. There were stubs and branches spread along the rough terrain. My body squeezed into the void barely avoiding the wolves grubby hands. I panted hard forcing my back to the wood.

I watched as Darius' mouth moved and nothing came out. I threw my back harder into the wall repetitively with all the force I could utter. Hoping to escape this horrible fate.

Four men.

I slid down to the floor in a squatting position. I brought my hands over my head my breathing now ragged and rushed. I brought my hands down in front of my face scared of the sight I knew I was about to see. My hands were shaking uncontrollably. I haven't shook since. Those dreams.

Four men.

I let my hands fall to my sides and I fumbled with the blades under my fingertips. I brought the black and silver blade up to my throat when a large hand fitted around mine pulling it away with a tug. I looked into his eyes full of worry and sorrow.

Then it was black. With one ting remaining on my mind.

Four men.
