"What about my car?" Bee asks as we walk to my car. She's not at all convinced to go with me and I'm not going leave her alone when I'm not sure if she'll not faint again. Or maybe, just maybe because I want to spend more time with her.
"I've asked Noah to get it," I said, swinging our intertwined hands back and forth. I expected her to leave it as soon as Tiffany and her minions went but she haven't. It kind of makes me nervous which is why I'm swinging it.
She slapped her mouth with the free hand, faking the drama. "No, he won't. I don't even know who Noah is. What if he steals off my baby?"
"He won't. I trust him," I squeeze her hand.
"That's my car, not yours," She rolled her eyes, frowning.
"I'm not leaving you alone," I said. As we near my car, there is Noah and Adam waiting for her keys. "Give me the keys,"
She hesitated at first but then her face lit up. "Will you let me paint your nails?" She asked, suddenly smiling, amused.
"If that will make you come with me," I chuckled. She leaves my hand and digs in her covercoat pocket and pulls out her keys. I held out my hand and she dropped it in. Noah was the first one to notice us. He smiled at me, his dimpled going deep into his cheeks. I nodded, smiling back. He looked at Bee then, and I didn't like the way he eyed her from top to down. I could already read what he was thinking now. Adam looked up from his phone and waved at both of us, smiling. He was the most honest and I-don't-care-what-other-people-say kind of person. That made him lovable instantly.
Noah was frowning now. "I was supposed to drive her car?" He asked, nodding his head towards Bee's direction.
Before I could anything, Adam spoke up. "Nobody asked your small dick to speak right now, babe. Let's introduce ourselves to the lady first," His voice was nothing but honestly amused. His caramel-brown eyes smiled at Bee, making my heart happy. He held out his hand, his skin the shade of chocolate. "I'm Adam."
Bee shook hands with him, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Beatrice,"
"I don't think my boyfriend here, Mr. Small Dick wants to drive your car but I definitely have a licence myself." Adam stated, dropping his hand. "We might just go drink the strawberry milkshake from Beachwood cafe,"
Noah slapped on Adam's arms hard. "You don't—"
"Babe," Adam turned to face his boyfriend, his voice a gentle warning. "You don't want to miss the strawberry milkshake now, do you?"
"But—" Noah started.
"Okay, babe. Now, where's the keys?" Adam looked at Bee, holding his hand out. I dropped it in. He looked at the keys and smiled wider. "God, I prayed for it to be the only Capri Ford in this parking lot. I love vintage cars," He squealed.
"It's my Dad's," Bee said, smiling sadly at the memory of her Dad. "Um...would you mind if we join you for the milkshake or is it a date?" I was surprised when she asked this but I let it happen because this was the first time Bee ever wanted to go out with someone. And I wasn't going to stop knowing, she and Adam would be friends after this.
"It is," and "It's not," came from both Noah and Adam.
Adam gave his best death glare at Noah. "We do this literally everyday. It's good to have Beatrice. She looks like a good person,"
"Looks don't say anything about a person, Adam," Noah said, broadly.
Oh, I accidentally kicked the ball to your balls tomorrow at practice, Noah.
