t-minus 7 days till Armin's bday

It was now Saturday, a week until Armin's surprise birthday party on Halloween night, and up until now, you and Eren—along with the rest of the friend group—tried to plan the whole thing out as quick as possible so you wouldn't raise any suspicions.

While Kimora served as a very effective distraction for Armin, you and Eren would meet up with the rest of the friend group—not including Mikasa—to plan out themes, decorations, along with food and drinks.

Your phone and laptop had turned into portable real estate agents from how many Airbnb's you searched up in the span of a week. Sometimes it would just be you and Eren at your house, with a bit of help from Ashanti. Or it would be you, Eren, Connie, Sasha, Jean, Ymir and Historia at Eren's house, collectively sharing ideas about what Armin would like to be surprised with.

So far you all agreed on an 2 story Airbnb with an outback pool, a big fireplace with benches surrounding it, as well as a big kitchen and bedrooms on each floor. You already established a budget for the costs and was now searching for the perfect house to fit the description.

Of course you wouldn't have that many people at the party since Armin kept a relatively small circle, but you anticipated for everyone to sleepover, seeing as you would have liquor and weed available, and more or less expected everyone to be drunk, high, or both.

The cost to cover the drinks and food, along with the liquor and weed, was split between everyone involved with the planning. The costs became much more manageable leaving about 125 for everyone to put in.

Unrelated, you recently found out about why you encountered your ex in Florida, a place that was supposed to be a 'fresh start' for you.

Ashanti and Devon sat you down and told you that Devon met Malik through a mutual friend, when he left Memphis and came to Florida to start his rapping career the summer y'all broke up. You didn't ask any further questions because you wanted to forget about him.

You wanted to continue to not care or dwell on what he was doing. It wasn't good for your health, or your happiness.

Moving on, you and Eren were currently at your place searching for Airbnb's together and brainstorming more ideas for the party. You laid across your bed while Eren laid his head on your stomach, you lightly running your fingers through his hair.

Honestly, you enjoyed sitting in comfortable silence with him, just doing your own thing. You were never one to talk a lot or had a lot of words to say all the time, so you enjoyed the moments where you and Eren could just enjoy each others presence in blissful silence.

"Have you found any good ones yet?" you mumble, the hint of drowsiness in your voice more evident than you thought.

"Uhhhh, not really," Eren says as he shows you his phone. "I mean, I found two but...ehh I wanna find something better."

You flip through the pictures provided for the houses. They were alright, but not up to your standards. Either it was a good house with no pool, or a really good house, but too expensive for your budget.

"Well...." you say as you sit up a bit, lifting Eren's head up, "I may have found one that you might like, and it's within our budget."

Eren scoots up to sit beside you and you show him your phone, he flips through the pictures on the website.
