wednesday.
3 days till winter break.you sat in the large auditorium, the muffled voice of your professor that you unconsciously drowned out as you idly tapped your pencil on the table, barely present as your mind drifted from one thought to another.
finals were slowly coming to an end, professors already closing the deadlines for their end of the semester projects and essays. you managed to get all but one of your semester assignments in, as your psychology paper wasn't due until the end of the day on friday. still, you were mostly done with it, just some tweaks and drafting were to be made before it was ready to send in.
you were torn from your thoughts when you felt a hand stop your rapidly moving pencil, and you look over to see your best friend, kimora.
"you were tapping again." she simply said, and you lower your head, nodding softly and setting the pencil down. kimora's eyes lingered on you, before turning back to the speaker.
you fell into your thoughts again. the same thoughts that plagued you for days since the whole 'eren and malik's text' situation happened.
he still hadn't texted you since then, going on roughly five days without any word from
him. you honestly started to think he was never going to text you, and that made you feel worse than you should've.how could he just assume that i was still entertaining my ex? if he would've just stayed for 5 more seconds i would've explained everything. this wouldn't have even happened.
you lowered your head in defeat, squeezing your eyes shut in frustration.
i should just put my pride to the side talk to him, i need to find out where he is and explain everything. fuck my ex and his empty promises. fuck the unresolved feelings and the what ifs. i know who i really want, and i'm not letting no ex change that. you declare in your mind, steeling your nerves and tossing your pride to the side, for once. you'd just hoped you weren't too late.
"alright, i'm done talking. i'm ending class early, so y'all can leave now." the professor spoke up just as you zoned back into the conversation. you pick up your belongings, and quickly leave the room, remembering that kimora was hanging out with armin again today.
you leave the class, frantically looking down either side of the hallways, you continue on in one direction, bobbing and weaving through the seemingly endless crowd of student bystanders.
i know he just got out of his major class, if he's not planning on going anywhere else, he should be out in the courtyard, probably talking to Connie.
you speed walk down the staircases, leading out to the front doors of one of the campus buildings, just outside the courtyard. the sliding doors automatically slide open, and as you walk through, a familiar brown ponytail comes into your view, making the corner of your lips quirk up in relief.
you go to step forward, but you hear the sudden ringing of your phone. you groan as you pull it out of your pocket, reading the ID as "unknown caller". you raise a confused eyebrow, since you never really got calls from "unknown" numbers.
you hesitantly answer, curiosity getting the better of you, "...hello??"
"hello... uh, is this y/n?" the unfamiliar voice says on the other side of the line. you furrow your eyebrows in even more confusion, looking side to side as you hesitated even replying.
