Willow sat in a chair beside Sawyer's bed. It had been days now since she had been rescued. Sawyer had gotten hurt and brought to the boat bloody and unconscious. His wounds were slowly healing, and it worried her. That and Sawyer was still unconscious. She had to take on the role of captain.
"Willow, you really should get some rest," Eleanor said.
Willow turned to look at her friend. Eleanor was right, but Willow feared that if she fell asleep Sawyer would somehow get worse.
"We are all worried about him," Eleanor said," his wounds should have healed by now."
"Do you think he'll ever wake up?" Willow asked.
"If I know him, he'll do anything to get back to you," Eleanor said," after all you've changed him for the better."
Willow gave a weak smile before turning her attention back to Sawyer. As her eyes landed on him, her smile disappeared. She heard Eleanor say something else, but her brain didn't register what she said. When she finally dragged her eyes away from her love, she saw that Eleanor had left.
"I don't know if you can hear me pup, but I really need you," Willow said," we need you." A tear slid down her cheek. As she just sat there more tears slid down her cheeks and soon she was doing her best to hold back sobs.
"Eleanor told me that you had stopped eating and sleeping again," Willow said," I know you said family comes first, but what are we supposed to do if you die?"
There was no answer or response from him.
"You told me I had nothing to worry about, that your brother wouldn't take me for a second time," Willow said," I didn't know if I should have believed you and you had gotten angry at me for not trusting you to keep me safe, but how are you supposed to keep me safe now if you don't wake up?"
Again no response.
"Please wake up," Willow begged.
Nothing.
With a sigh, Willow forces herself to her feet and out the door. She needed to eat and get some fresh air. She didn't care if she felt seasick she was determined to show the others that they didn't have to worry about her as well. Walking into the kitchen she sees Dino.
"Hey," Dino said.
"Hi," Willow softly said. She wasn't in a mood to talk to people.
"You doing alright?" Dino asked.
"I'm doing as fine as anyone would be when the person they care about is unconscious," Willow said grabbing an apple. Turning around she walked out of the kitchen and made her way up to the deck. Taking that last step Willow was greeted by a blue, cloudless, sky. She walked over to Sawyer's chair and sat down. She sat there and slowly ate her apple. Life on the boat was quiet. It has been ever since she returned. It was like no one knew what to say to her. And she didn't blame them, she didn't know what to really say to any of them. So as the boat continued at sail on, it sails mostly in silence.
"So we have a problem," Chase said.
"What?" Willow asked, she didn't really want to hear any bad news.
"Well, I was going through our stock of supplies and we are getting really low," Chase said.
"Did you double-check?" Willow asked.
"Yes, and then I had Eleanor check," Chase informed.
"Where are we heading?" Willow asked.
"To the next closest place, but because Sa- the captain is currently healing it is going to take a while," Chase said.
Willow nodded her head in understanding. She appreciated that Chase had Eleanor check the supplies too before coming to her.
"I'll see if I can find us a map," Willow said, getting slowly to her feet. She walked down the stairs and back towards Sawyer and her room. Walking over to the bookshelf Willow began to look for anything that looked like a map. She didn't find anything, so she moved over to Sawyer's desk. Rummaging amongst the many papers she managed to find one map. It had red X's all over it.
"Why is this covered in X's?" Willow asked out loud. Instinctively she looked over to where Sawyer was and instantly regretted it. Looking over at his unconscious body Willow couldn't help but feel her heart twist in pain. Turning back to the map Willow did her best to figure out where they were.
"Okay, maybe I should take this to Violet," Willow said to herself.
Walking out of the room Willow decided to leave the door open, and went to look for Violet. After a half-hour of looking Willow had finally found Violet.
"Hey Violet, I was wondering if you could read this map and tell me where we could be?" Willow asked.
"Uh, sure let me see it," Violet said taking the map.
Willow waited patiently for her purple-haired friend to tell her where they were. "Okay, so we were at these islands," Violet said showing Willow," and when we left we headed South-East."
"So we should be stopping by this land then?" Willow asked.
"Well, we should, but that's as long as we don't face a storm that knocks us off course," Violet said.
"Well, why don't you keep the map for now, until Sawyer wakes up and wants it back," Willow said.
"Thanks this will help me greatly," Violet said, then asked," but why is it covered in red marks?"
"You know I was wondering the same thing," Willow said," I guess Sawyer did it."
"Maybe," Violet said.
Telling her friend goodbye Willow walks back to Sawyer's room. She was ready for a nap.
