Willow woke the next day in the bed by herself. She sat up and looked around for Sawyer, but soon realized that the shower was running. They had done nothing but sleep yesterday. There were a few times they had woken up and fat something to eat. Well... more like she had woken up a few times. Sawyer had been out cold all day yesterday and all night. But at least he was awake now. As she climbed out of the bed she heard the shower turn off and soon saw a fully rested and dressed Sawyer.
"We should be at Smoothhill soon," Sawyer said.
"Really, that fast?" Willow asked.
"Well I was moving the boat as I made sure the storm didn't destroy the boat," Sawyer said.
Realization hit her. Last night when he used his powers to do who knows what to keep the boat afloat, he was making sure they reached their destination. That explains why he was so tired yesterday. Willow thought. It also explained why they never get off course and get to places extraordinarily fast. He uses his powers to make sure they stay on course.
"So what happens if you're sick?" Willow voiced her question.
"Be a little more clear," Sawyer said.
"You use your powers to keep us on course, so what would happen if you got sick?" Willow asked clarifying her question.
"When I get sick it becomes very hard for me to control the water," Sawyer said.
"Okay, how about the time I was kidnapped," Willow said," from what I read you hardly slept and would pass out a lot."
"That is because I was using my powers almost 24/7 and my body couldn't handle it," Sawyer said, " and it didn't help that I wasn't getting any rest or eating much."
"So you have a limit on what you can do?" Willow asked.
"Everyone has a limit on what they can do," Sawyer said.
"So are you controlling the water now?" Willow asked.
"No, I would be pushing it after that storm," Sawyer said.
She just gave him a look but didn't bother asking any more questions.
Now that she wasn't asking him questions she saw that he was wearing different clothes than he normally would. A knock at the door drew her attention away from him.
"We made it to Smoothhill," Eleanor said behind the door.
"Thank you," Sawyer said," we'll be out in a moment."
She heard Eleanor mumble something then walk away. She turned to look at Sawyer and saw he was pinching the bridge of his nose and slightly shaking his head.
"I'm assuming you could hear what she said," Willow said.
"Yes," Sawyer said.
"What did she say?" Willow asked.
"That we better not be fucking, and if we are to get our asses on deck before she has to drag us up there," Sawyer said.
"She sounds like a mother," Willow laughed. Sawyer agreed and they made their way up to the deck.
Looking out at the land before them Willow was greeted by lush green hills. Housed sat scattered across the many hills.
"Well guys, welcome to my hometown," Eleanor said happily.
As they docked Willow kept looking out at the many houses. Some had children playing in the yard of some houses.
"Okay, Captain are you ready?" Violet asked.
