Sawyer continued to stare down at the floor as he waited for Willow's reaction to what he said. He didn't want to see the look of disappointment or anger on her face.
"So... Violet and them," Willow said," they can live forever."
"Yes, I was given an internal fruit that they had to eat," he said.
"So they can't die?" Willow asked.
Now he looked up. He saw that Willow didn't look disappointed or angry, she looked curious. He shook his head to answer her question, and when Willow gave him a look of confusion did he explain. "The fruit of internal life allows you to not grow old," he explained," but they can still die."
"So do I need to eat from this fruit?" Willow asked.
"No, you have supernatural blood in your veins so you live longer than normal people," he said," Dino will need to eat a piece of the fruit if he plans on staying with us."
Knock, knock.
Turning to the door Sawyer listened for any threats.
"Hey, captain we're ready," Violet's voice said through the door.
He walked over to the door and opened it. Violet and Eleanor stood outside in the hallway. He turned back to look at the mess Willow had made going through their clothes.
"Give us a few and we will be ready," Sawyer said walking away from the door. Willow was giving him a curious look as Violet and Eleanor followed him inside.
"We can watch Dawn for you as you gather everything," Violet said. He watched as Willow handed Dawn over to Violet and turned to look at him. "So what are we doing?" She asked.
"We are packing our clothes," he said.
"I mean after that," Willow said.
"You'll see," is all he said. He heard her huff in frustration. She didn't like it when he didn't give her the answer she wanted. And he knew it, but he didn't want to tell her. If she knew she would be angry with him, and he didn't want that. But he was also happy for the distraction. He didn't want to continue with the topic.
As they gathered their clothes Sawyer had to keep telling Willow that she had to wait and see why they were packing their things. Once done he took Dawn from Eleanor and handed her their things. "We'll see you guys once we check out," he said.
They gave him the okay and took the bags. Once alone with Willow and Dawn, he turned to his wife and saw her standing behind him with her arms crossed. She didn't look happy. Her eyes were narrowed at him and her lips were pressed tightly together slightly pulled down into a frown. He froze in his tracks, not sure what to do or why she was angry. "...Is everything okay?" Sawyer asked tentatively.
"No everything is not okay," she snapped," I want to know what we are doing."
He glanced down at Dawn who was looking up at him. "I wanted it to be a surprise, but if it's going to put me in the doghouse then I guess I'll tell you," Sawyer said," Eleanor gave the okay for you and Dawn to go back on the boat."
As soon as the last word left his mouth he saw Willow's face light up with joy. He barely had any time to brace himself before she jumped at him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Chuckling he wrapped his free arm around her returning the hug. A few moments later Willow pulled away and began walking towards the door. Following behind her Sawyer couldn't help but pray that when she found out where they were going once on the ocean she wouldn't kill him and hopefully forgive him.
Once they checked out they made their way to the boat. Walking onto the deck Sawyer inhaled the salty sea air. He missed being out on the ocean, and now that he was he couldn't wait to get back to the way things had been. But sadly things couldn't. He was taking Willow back to her kingdom in hopes of keeping her safe. But right now he was going to enjoy the little time of normalcy he could get.
