Five hours. They had been in the hospital for five hours. Sawyer sat beside Willow in the hospital room. That morning around five her water had broke, and Sawyer had to rush her to the nearest hospital. The nurses would come and go, checking on Willow and seeing how far along she was. After about three hours of waiting Willow had become very cranky. She would yell at the nurses every time they entered the room.

"We are never having another baby again," Willow seethed.

"Sure, kitten," Sawyer said agreeing with her. He didn't want another kid and he didn't want any in the first place. But if he had to be honest he did feel happy knowing he had a family all his own.

After another three hours, the doctor came into the room. A nurse had gone and retrieved him. And now Willow was being instructed to push. Moments later a cry cut through the room.

"Congratulations, you have a healthy baby girl," the doctor said.

The nurse cleaned and wrapped the baby in a little pink blanket, and then handed her over to Willow. Sawyer watched as Willow held their daughter and cried happy tears. The doctor and nurses left the room giving them some time alone.

"She's so beautiful," Willow said.

Sawyer agreed.

"Do you want to hold her?" Willow asked.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea," Sawyer said.

"You're her father, of course, it's a good idea," Willow said.

Reluctantly Sawyer took the baby. She squirmed once but settled down. As he held her Sawyer couldn't help but smile.

"Looks like the Barbarin has a heart after all," Willow joked.

"Oh, hahaha, that is so funny," Sawyer sarcastically said.

"We still need a name for her," Willow said tiredly.

"Get some rest," Sawyer said," we can name her when you wake up."

Willow agreed and soon fell asleep. Ten minutes later a nurse entered the room and took their baby away to be checked. Standing from his seat Sawyer walked over to the window and looked out. The sun was high in the sky. Turning from the window Sawyer walked out of the room and went to inform the others. As he walked into the waiting room Sawyer saw his crew sitting or pacing waiting on any information that could be given. Eleanor was the first to see him.

"Well, how is she?" Eleanor asked.

"She's resting right now," Sawyer said.

"And what about the baby?" Violet asked.

"The baby is healthy," Sawyer said.

"Can we go see her and the baby?" The twins asked.

"Willow is asleep so no," Sawyer said," the baby you can go look at in the baby room."

The twins walked off heading towards the baby room. Sawyer instantly became worried.

"I'll go with them," Dino said," so that way no one's baby gets hurt."

Sawyer watched Dino follow behind the twins. He felt relieved knowing that someone he knew and trusted would keep the two in line.

"How does it feel to be a dad?" Treasure asked.

Sawyer shrugged. He didn't know how to answer that question. He still felt the same, and he still couldn't believe that he was now a father.

"Well, we all might as well be prepared to not get much sleep anymore," Chase joked," now that there will be a baby around none of us will get any peace."

"Especially since the baby is captains and Willow's," Violet added.

"That means dear old captain here can't sleep in anymore," Treasure added poking him in the arm.

"I will make all your lives miserable if you don't stop," Sawyer seethed.

"Aww, captain, do you not like the thought of not being a dad now," Eleanor said.

"It's something that I'll have to get used to," Sawyer admitted.

"Well, we will let Willow rest," Eleanor said," but we plan on seeing her and the baby tomorrow."

And with that, they walked down the hall to gather the twins and Dino. Going back to the room Willow was in he saw that she was still asleep. Walking over to the nightstand beside the bed he placed a little note telling her that he would be back later. Walking out of the hospital he made his way back to their hotel room and practically threw himself onto the bed to get a few more hours of sleep.
