as oikawa tooru's very beautiful younger sister, you went to go thank his team for actually dealing with him as their captain, so you bought them all coffee, of course you bought a cup for yourself, and you didn't get one for your brother, because your selfish and apathetic like that, well on the inside of course. you definitely weren't the liveliest person around, at least on the inside. you were always happy on the outside, but the smile you wore was a bit fake and hollow, but most people couldn't tell. you guessed that the fake stuff just ran in the family. you came in unannounced and quietly so no one knew you were there. once the team finally saw you at the end of practice, your brother ran up to you and tried to hug you but you dodged. you also were a part of the girls volleyball team as a first year. you rolled your eyes and said, "thanks for putting up with this piece of trash aka my brother. i got you all coffee as a thank you." you said in a happy voice, and with a smile on your face. "gosh you didn't even get me some coffee, also stop acting like that. act like your normal self, like akira." he whispered the last part. you looked at him and then looked confused. oikawa pointed to akira. you shoot your brother a glare. "oh hi, sorry i forgot to introduce my self. my name is y/n oikawa!" "hi." he said with a monotone voice. "well aren't you cheerful!" you said with a fake smile. "at least i'm not fake." akira said. you widen your eyes and gasp, then furrow your brows and frown. he actually saw through my act, that's a first you thought. "well bye tooru, i'll see you at home." oikawa is also a bit shocked akira found out too but nodded. you walk away and smile at everyone, your fake smile. it's a habit you can't get rid of and you were extremely surprised that this akira person could see through it.

you were walking to the gym again, since you didn't have practice and you went to see your brother instead. as you were walking you stiffened a bit as you walked in. a bit scared to be honest, you were scared they would all judge you for what happened a few days ago. you took a shaky breath and went inside quietly, like always. tooru screamed at you and ran to give you a hug which you quickly dodged. you smiled at everyone and they all said hi like nothing had happened. you saw akira and gave him a small smile, "can i talk to you for a moment." he nodded and asked the coach for a break. as he met you outside you glared at him. "how the hell did you figure out my smile is fake, that my whole cheery personality is just a facade?" you said in your real monotone voice and unbothered face. he shrugged, "i don't know i could just tell, it's like oikawa." you scoffed "of course. my fake brother is worse than me. i'm like that bc i used to get made fun of for my monotone voice and unbothered looking face. so i started making this stupid cheery personality that would make everyone happy." he looked down at you, "well as you can see im not very cheery, yet i don't get made fun of. you can still do you, but you should act like yourself more." with that he left and you frowned, be myself you thought. you followed him in, and tooru came toward you and said, "ooooo what were you and akira talking about." "shut up, none of your business and drop the act." you said in your normal monotone voice, which surprised tooru a bit. "well well, are you finally letting your true self come out, congrats." "shut up." you left him and sat next to akira, "thanks i guess. i'll try to be more like myself. i guess. i'll still be a bit fake, it's just a habit now." he nodded and after that you always came over to him to talk when you didn't have practice and he walked you home a couple of times, plus you hung out with each other at school.

✿ he asks you out ✿

you were walking to the front gate after you finished practice and you met up with akira. he was standing there, a tall, slim, and muscular, boy with black hair split in the middle. he had droopy eyes that made him look apathetic and tired, he was on his phone with his back against the gate. you thought the boy who changed you was perfect. "hi." you said with a small smile. he nodded. he didn't talk much, but you still loved him. "soo how was your day today akira?" "fine, tiring like always, but today will be different." you looked at him questioning his words. your annoying brother would constantly bother you about your new boyfriend. you had recently just started dating and tooru would not stop bugging you.
