Erwin has been teaching me everything I need to know for the upcoming mission the last couple days. First he taught it in English, and now he's been trying to teach it to me in Japanese.
And it was harder than he thought.
Although he's been teaching me Japanese nearly the whole time I've been here, I currently sat in a desk, frustrated as all hell with a notebook infront of me and the man writing on a chalk board.
"Do you know how many years it took me to learn French? Too many," I suddenly said, slamming my head against the desk, causing Erwin to jump as he turned around. I was frustrated and Japanese was way too hard.
"You've been doing good, we'll take a break for you." Erwin said, making me sit back up and let out a huff of air.
I stayed quiet, looking back down at my notebook. Erwin took note and started to observe me as I focused on the sheets of paper.
My right leg bounced as I scanned over the expedition plans. It was laid out where everyone would be, including myself who would be with Erwin in one of the groups towards the front, leading. There was then another group with Flagon and the three thugs recently brought in. But, of course, they would split off from him without a care.
"You know, it's supposed to rain that day," I suddenly said. I've been holding back on telling the man, mostly because I didn't want to fuck the future up.
But, I've gotten closer to Isabel these last couple weeks. Really, really close.
After the whole fiasco with the women's barracks, I of course told Erwin and he had gotten the Commander to deal with it.
And after that, I had managed to push Isabel sleeping with her brothers with Erwin, and he had eventually budged. I, on the other hand, was also stuck in that room to make sure the three didn't get into any trouble.
Although Isabel has been trying to help with my Japanese, it's hard when she uses a lot of expressions like bruh, or shortens words like idk.
It also doesn't help that she doesn't have a language that I understand to help, which is why Levi got tired of Isabel playing charades with me, and decided to help teach me himself.
If you think about it, I'm in a room full of misfits, and I'm one included.
"Hmm?" The man hummed, walking over to my desk and stood in front of me.
"Nothing," I mumbled, looking at the format again.
Erwin placed me in his squad, because 1. I could barley speak Japanese, and 2. I was a good soldier. Apparently.
Me being a convict totally had nothing to do with it, either.
"What'd you say? It might be helpful on the expedition next week," he edged.
I let out a huff of air, crossing my legs as I leaned back in my chair.
"Do I have to be on your squad? Not that I'm complaining, but, I figured I'd be more useful somewhere else." I changed what I said.
Tell Erwin
Don't tell Erwin
Tell Erwin
Don't tell Erwin
Tell Er-
Erwin stared at me with a raised eyebrow, knowing full well that's not what I said.
"Ah, fine! You know I can't withstand that look." Erwin smiled lightly, grabbing a chair and bringing it up so it was in-front of me. He sat down, resting his elbows on his desk and looked at me. I uncrossed my legs, my right one bouncing.
