|18| Pixis's Speech

I sat beside Andrew, my right arm on my lap and the other back and on the roof of the building. The two of us were waiting for Pixis to show up and give his speech. But, in the meanwhile, we were conversing.

"So, how do we go about this?" I turned my head towards him, a brow raised. "About what?" I asked, and Andrew shrugged.

"I mean, we made it here after the wall was broken through. Why not just kill Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie while we can and save the rest of humanity?" Andrew asked, and I hummed.

"As much as I'd love too, we have no proof that it's them. I can't just kill them on my own, and the others would surely not help kill 3 teenagers who I claim are these terrible man eating beasts without zero evidence," I explained, and Andrew brought his hand up, caressing his chin in thought.

"Well, I guess. But, people are soon going to know that Eren can transform into a Titan. Which means they'll really believe anything," he explained, and I nodded.

"I feel like telling Erwin would be our best bet," I suddenly said, causing Andrew to turn towards me with a raised brow. "You said you didn't want to tell anyone," he reminded.

"Yeah, but, think about it," I said. "Erwin wouldn't kill people without a reason, so, he'll need proof about what's happening, right?" Andrew shook his head.

"I'm not following," he admitted, causing me to roll my eyes. "The expedition dumbass. Annie finds out where Eren is, why? Because when Reiner is caught in her hand, he cuts the answer into her. Armin sees this, and doesn't realize what happened," I explained.

"Yeah, but, surely that can't be enough evidence," Andrew claimed, and I shrugged.

"Erwin will believe me. He did in the past, why not now?" I asked. "Well, you did die and come back to life in their eyes," the brunette said.

"Attention!!!" Me and Andrew jumped simultaneously. The two of us ceased our chatter, along with everyone below us. Everyone's attention was brought to the very top of the wall, our eyes meeting the old man known as the Commander of the Garrison.

"I will now explain to you the details of the Trost Recovery Mission!!" Pixis shouted. Beside the Commander stood Eren, and I could already hear others whispering to themselves about the boy that stood as stiff as a brick under everyone's gazes.

"The objective of this operation is to seal the hole in the demolished gate!" I translated quietly for Andrew, and the two of us watched as soldiers stood in complete shock.

"The heaviness in the air is unreal," Andrew whispered, and I couldn't help but agree with my friend. There were soldiers who were already crying, there was even a soldier by the house we stood on, puking into a barrel with a friend rubbing his back.

"Well, they don't have the technology yet to seal a gate that quickly, so they aught to be in shock," I explained, quickly silencing myself and bringing my attention back to Pixis.

"As for how we'll accomplish this, let me start by introducing this fellow," he gestured to Eren, who in all honesty looked like he was shitting bricks at the moment. "This is Eren Jaeger, a member of the Cadets!" as I translated for Andrew, I heard the sound of multiple ODM Gears coming towards us.

Andrew and I felt a slight vibration as the people landed on the roof, and I stood up.

"Why is Eren up there?" a hand landed on my shoulder, making me look back. I felt my adrenaline spike a little when I was met with the trio of Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt.

"How should I know?" I feigned innocence, casually walking out of Reiner's grip and turning around. I faced the trio, my right hand subconsciously landing on the handle of my blade. The three of them took note of that, and Reiner rose an eyebrow.
