(Name's) POV
"So you're saying we weren't flying by the seat of our pants?" Eren asked, shocked. I sat on a branch away from the others, listening to the harpoons firing in the distance. My arms rested on my knees, my eyes focused ahead, scanning the area.
"Look, I'm not complaining. I get keeping it from me, but, you guys?" Eren asked. "You'd think you'd earned a little more trust than that."
Oluo called him annoying, and Petra yelled at Eren. And I've never seen that girl yell other than when Oluo pisses her off.
"I am calling you a liability, there's no other way it makes sense!" I huffed, leaning my chin on my palm and turning to look at the group who argued.
"Enough of this! Petra! Knock the teeth out of his skull!!" Oluo yelled, pointing his sword at the Titan Shifter, and I shook my head with a small chuckle.
"Look, as much as I hate to say it, he's got a point," Eld butted in. "For being as supposedly instrumental to the plan as we were, the Captain didn't give us much to go on."
"So what?" Gunther asked, not getting his point.
"That means he doesn't trust us, kind of a big deal," I clicked my tongue, shaking my head and gaining everyone's attention.
"It's not that he doesn't trust you guys," I said. "You all were handpicked by the Captain because of that reason," I reassured.
"And how would you know? You knew about the plan and you haven't been with us for too long!" Oluo accused.
"Actually, I've technically been here longer than Levi," all of their mouths dropped. They know I knew Levi back in the day, but didn't know how far back we went.
"It's a long story, but," I continued, standing. "The true missions intention was only known by a select few," I said.
"Think about it, we already know that this person is a Titan Shifter, right?" I gained nods from everyone.
"Remember when Erwin revealed the 57th Expedition plans at the graduation ceremony?" I asked, and Eld snapped his fingers.
"The only way that the Titan Shifter would know about the plans is if they were there!" I nodded.
"Bingo! Or unless," I waited, and I watched Petra open her mouth.
"Unless another Titan Shifter relayed the message," she finished, and everyone nodded together in agreement.
"Precisely, so, I'm assuming you all realize that Erwin had to keep this information very close to his chest. He only trusted the people that he knew from way before the Walls were even breached," I explained, and Oluo thought out-loud.
"That does make sense, but I thought Captain Levi came into the Survey Corps after," he said.
"He did," I revealed.
"So, the Captain didn't even know all the details to the plan?" Eren asked, and it hit everyone.
"He was going off his trust in the Commander, and it's a good thing, too," I said.
"Look, I know this is probably really confusing, but you have to understand that Levi's trust in you guys is unmatched," I smiled, and so did they. "And I know you guys trust him, but you also must put trust into him when all seems lost. Especially you Oluo, it'll save you the grey hairs."
I was immediately put into a headlock with my hair being ruffled, making everyone laugh.
"You better take that back! I'm only 19 you know!" He said, and I giggled.
