Levi and myself wore casual clothing, I changed into a pair of sweatpants and I sat beside him. He brewed up some tea for us while we waited in the mess hall , a sigh falling from my lips.
"What is it, brat?" He asked, tipping his cup to his lips as he looked at me.
"It's nothing, Levi," I said, rolling my shoulders and cracking them. I winced from the pain in my left arm, and he noticed.
"You'll just have to take it easy, though you're too stubborn to listen to me," he said, and I chuckled.
"I think I'll have to take your advice, moving my arm a little makes it feel like it's on fire," I admitted, reaching my good arm forward and grabbing the tea. I took a sip and hummed at the taste.
It's as good as I remember.
"Thanks," he said, and my eyes widened.
"D-Did I say that out-loud?" I laughed, and he nodded his head.
We waited for a few more minutes, waiting for someone to come through the door.
"Erwin and his men are keeping us waiting," he muttered.
"The MP escorts will come here before they do," I leaned back in my chair, but got a glare from Levi the moment I put my feet up on the table.
"Get your dirty feet off the table, brat," he said, and I huffed.
"Fineeeee," I lowered them, but then turned my chair so I faced Levi. I lifted my legs and put them up on his lap, and I laughed at his reaction.
"Levi, I showered! I'm not dirty," I reassured, waiting for him to push my legs off of him. He placed his right hand on my shins, and left it there.
My eyes widened slightly, and a light blush flew to my cheeks. I watched him drink more of his tea, and both of our eyes went to the door.
"Yo, Eren!" I waved, a grin on my face as the rest of the Levi Squad came in behind him.
"Do we know what this meeting is about? I was in the middle of something important," Oluo claimed, sitting on the other side of Levi. Petra scoffed, taking her seat beside me.
"Yeah, because napping is so important compared to a meeting with the Commander," I smiled at their bickering, my eye's lowering to my tea cup, my finger trailed around the rim, thinking.
I'm glad I saved these guys, they're so full of life and happiness. I looked up at them as they all talked to each other, a smile on my face.
I jumped a little when I felt Levi's hand move. It ran up and down my shin, his eyes looking at his squad. I grinned. He looks happy, too.
I know it's hard to tell with how little emotion Levi shows, but, I can tell.
"He's probably constipated and having a rough day with how late he is," Levi said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Levi," I crossed my arms. "You know that's not the case," I told him, and he shrugged.
"Sorry to keep you guys waiting," everyone stood but me and Levi. I bent my neck back, looking at Erwin upside down as he entered the room with everyone else. Including my best friend.
"We have identified the person of interest who may be the Female Titan," everyone gasped, their eyes widening. I grinned, bringing my tea to my lips.
"This time, we won't let her escaped," Erwin is determined to catch her. And I suppose he's right, given the future events.
Erwin came to the other side of the table, laying the map on it for everyone to see.
"The operation will be in two days," everyone took a seat, and Andrew sat on the other side of Petra.
