My body twitched as I slept, my arm clean and bandaged again. My waist was wrapped in gauze underneath the white t-shirt I was changed into. My fingers twitched before my eyes opened, and I winced, groaning in pain as I reached my good arm over my eyes, a headache brewing.

"Shit," I said in English, my stomach growling as hunger hit me. I sat up in the bed I laid in, looking around with exhausted eyes. But the tiredness went away as they widened. It was currently night time, the flame of a candle being the only light in the room as it rested on the dresser. But, in the chair beside the dresser sat a sleeping man.

"L-Levi?" I swung my legs over the bed, my bare feet hitting the floor as the man woke up. I stood and stumbled forward, causing the man to react fast as he wrapped his arms as gently as he could around my waist.

"Brat, you can't be getting up so fast, you're still weak," he sat me down on the bed. He went to let go but I still had my arms wrapped around his shoulders, my head burrowed into his neck.

"I missed you short stuff," I teased, and I heard a light chuckle fall from his lips.

"I missed you too," he sat down beside me on the bed and had an arm wrapped around my waist, the other hand resting in my lap. Not too long into the hugging session, I pulled back and looked into the man's grey eyes.

"I still can't believe it," he looked to the side and removed his hands from my figure.

"I had you die in my arms, I watched you get buried," he looked back at me. "How are you here? How are you alive?" Oh dear, do I tell him?

Before I could respond, we both heard a cough. We looked towards the doorway and I felt my chest warm up.

"Erwin!" I stood and ran towards him. I ignored all the pain in my body, my arms wrapping around the man's torso and feeling him immediately return the hug.

"I can't believe you're here," he rocked the two of us back and forth, trying to be as gentle as possible with me in my injured state.

"You can't get rid of me that easily," I teased, feeling the man pull back. I looked up at him, a grin on my face as he smiled back. My heart pounded heavily in my chest, having me just now realize how much I missed him and Levi.

"I'll leave you two alone," Levi tried squeezing past, but I grabbed his wrist.

"Levi, wait," I said, pulling him back into the room. I looked at Erwin and he nodded his head.

"There's something you need to know."

Turns out I was in the Scouts infirmary, and Erwin brought me and Levi up to his office. I laid down in the same couch from a few year ago, my head resting on the arm as I tried to breathe lightly. Anytime I spoke or moved, my ribs would have a sharp pain sent through them.

"Here," Erwin handed me a cup of water with a few pills. I sat up with a wince, leaning my back against the arm and taking the pills immediately.

"Thank you," he took the cup from me and went to his desk. Levi sat on the opposite armrest of the couch, looking from me to Erwin who pulled his chair up.

"You learned English?" I asked, looking at Levi with a gentle smile. The man hummed.

"He had me start teaching him not long after you had passed," we were all speaking English, which was good. Although I am fluent in Japanese, I was both physically and mentally exhausted. So speaking Japanese and comprehending it would be a little tough at the moment.
