6 - Marriage and shocks

Four days passed in a blink and it was the day of marriage. Riddhima tried really hard to stop Siya and Sejal from meeting Vansh and was actually dreading how would they react to seeing him. And to add more to her misery even the entire Raisinghania clan was coming. She didn't know what to expect from them. She didn't know where this new path in her life would take her to. Surrendering herself to her Bappa, she released a breath she didn't even know was holding. On the other side, Vansh was being really good without throwing temper tantrums and surprising all the Raisinghania's. Now even they were intrigued to see Riddhima especially Kabir and Anupriya.

It's been a while now that Siya and Sejal kept teasing Riddhima with the name of Vansh. And finally to her relief, she was being called by the priest. Taking a deep breath and praying to her Bappa she moved ahead.

And Vansh being an excited person was doing everything the priest asked him to do with a smile on his face. Sejal and Siya though felt a bit weird with his behavior but then thinking of him being happy with the marriage, they let it slide. Finally, it was time for pheras and Vansh did perform everything as told on the previous night by Dadi.

Dadi: Vansh bacche, tujhe pata hain na kal kya hain?

[Vansh bacche, you know right what it is tomorrow?]

Van(excitedly): Shaadi hain dadi. Mujhe sab kuch yaad hain.

(excitedly): [There is going to be a marriage Dadi, I remember everything.]

Dadi: Mera accha baccha. Accha toh ab aapko dadi batayengi ki kal shaadi kaise hoga and aap sunnoge aur dhyaan se waise hi karoge, nahi toh bhagwan ji aur pandit ji gussa karenge aur phir shaadi delay hojayega. Aur tum toh janthe ho ki pooja delay hogayi toh.....

[Yes my good baby. Okay then now Dadi will tell you how we are going to do the marriage and you have to listen carefully and perform it carefully, if not then God and priest will get angry and then delay it. And you know right, what happens if marriage gets delayed...]

Van: Nahi dadi, mein karunga na.

[No Dadi, I will do it.]

And then Dadi explained to him everything about pheras (the seven vows taken in marriage while going around the fire in circles), sindoor(applying vermilion), tying mangalsutra(the sacred nuptial chain that binds husband and wife together.), and all the remaining stuff. So that Vansh doesn't do something childishly and anyone doesn't get to stop the marriage.

The marriage was completed. Everyone moved towards VR Mansion. Siya was sitting with Riddhima and Vansh and observed Vansh's behavior which was really weird and she felt the ringing of alarm bells in her head. While Sejal was in Aryan's car along with Ishaani and Chanchal. Aryan and Ishaani felt like they were not of their standards and Ishaani concluded that they might be here for the money. They wanted to know what made them agree to the marriage so asked her.
