No One's POV

Staph, a name Lychee wants to never hear again.

It brings back dark memories, ones Lychee wants to bury deep in his brain to forget about.

It reminds him about how he would always have to hold back his tears when Dionysus was yelling at him.

"You useless child!" Staph bit his lip, trying to keep the tears at bay.

It reminds him about how he would always go back to his room with more cuts and bruises than he left with.

Dionysus threw a expensive empty wine bottle at his head, leaving cuts and small glass shards in his forehead, "Return to your room".

It reminds him about how he would always panic when his brother calls his name to clean up the mess they made, and how his siblings mistreated him.

"Staph!" He panicked and hurried to clean up his brothers spilled wine, his brother knocked the glass off the table, "oops", Staph sighed and went to get the broom, his brother stopped him, Staph got a few cuts on his hands.

In short Lychee wants Staph to burn.

Staph was weak
Lychee isn't
Staph couldn't fight
Lychee could
Staph got in trouble for talking
Lychee prefers the word introverted
Staph needed to hold someone's hand at night
Lychee didn't need anyone
Staph needed help
Lychee needs safety
Staph was scared
Lychee is traumatized
Staph needed love
That still hasn't changed
Lychee needs love

He always needed a family.

It isn't fair.

Why did Roman get a perfect childhood.
Why did he get the short end of the stick.

He could see the disappointed look in Roman's eyes, he could hear the disappointment in his voice when he found out Lychee didn't live up to the Dionysus name, when he found out Lychee didn't perform in any play or that he doesn't own a bar.

But that's okay.

He heard that disappointed tone so much it didn't affect him anymore.

He didn't want to live up to the Dionysus name.

Lychee wondered if Roman even had a clue that almost half of the servants living in the basement is his siblings.

Probably not if he still thinks Dionysus is a great dad.

Or maybe he did know and he just didn't care.

Lychee wondered if he should tell him.

If he doesn't know, he would be upset that his father figure isn't as nice as he seems.

Lychee's been there, he knows how that feels.

He doesn't want Roman to go through that as well.

And on the other hand,
If he did tell Roman, and Roman already knew and wasn't against it, he could tell on him, and get him sent back there.

Even the thought made him start to shake and want to cry.

He wanted to cry right now.

He wanted to leave his past alone.

He didn't want to confront it.

He never wanted to see Dionysus or another one of his kids again.

Yet a few cabins down there was a clear reminder that he'll never be able to escape his past.

Lychee's past as Staph will always haunt him.

And no matter how hard Lychee tried he'll always be that same scared scared little kid.

He'll always be weak.
No matter his fighting skills he'll never be strong enough.
He'll never voice his opinions.
He just wants to hold someone's hand.
He doesn't feel safe here anymore.
All of his traumas coming back.
At least he's loved.

He  has  a  new  family.

So why is he crying about his old ones?

Why does it still feel unfair?
