"We could really use your help right about now, Tic Tac," Sam said into his phone as I waited for the number I was calling to finish going through.

I placed back and forth as it dialed.

"That would be great," Sam said. "Yes, we need all the help we can get. Yeah, that's the right time. Thanks, Scott. I mean it."

Sam gave me a thumbs up to show that we were all good. I perked up as my call went through.

"Hello?" The man on the other end said.

"Is this Thor?" I asked.

"Yes, who is this?"

"Thor, it's Bucky, we need your help."

"I left Earth mere months ago and you already need my help again? I thought the point of beating Thanos was to stop these fights from always happening."

"I think we both know these fights never go away."

"What is it this time?" He said.

"Well, that's the thing. It's...Y/N."

"Y/N? What about him? What's happened?"

"He's not hurt or anything, but...we think HYRDA got to him. Someone has control over him and they're using him to attack us. With his powers, well..."

"Say no more," he said. "We're on our way."

"Stark International tower is where everyone is meeting tomorrow night," I said.

"We'll be there too," he said, then hung up.

"Thor's coming with the Guardians," I said to Sam and he nodded approvingly.

"Scott and Hope are coming too."

"...you realize all this is hopeless without Wanda?" I said hesitantly.

He met my eyes, refusing to agree, but knowing I was right.

"I contacted Carol earlier, she's coming. So is Strange, Rhodey, Bruce, and Clint. We're gonna have to hope we can pull through."

"Yeah," I said quietly. "I got in contact with Wakanda too. Shuri, Okoye, and Ayo all promised they're own help as well as some other Wakandans. But...I haven't met a force that's been able to stop Y/N yet. So what makes it so we'll be able to? How do we know we'll be able to beat him if we have to?"

"We have to hope we can get through to him," he said.

"Notice that doesn't answer the question," I replied quietly.

I stood off to the side, staring out the windows as Sam went over plans and data with some of the others.

"There's been ten other attacks like the first one, all in different major cities," Sam said. "Each one the same. He comes, does some damage, makes his warning, then disappears. We don't know what his target is, but he has to be coming up to something soon, and we need to be ready to stop it."

"Okay, hold on, it's just- well...when you called me, I didn't necessarily know we'd have to fight...Y/N." Scott said.

"You don't think we can take him?" Carol asked analytically.

"Well, no," Scott said slowly and hesitantly.

"Oh, come on, what? Are you scared?" Rocket mocked. "He might have some fancy powers or magic or whatever, but he's still that smart, little, H/C boy underneath it all. Look, all we gotta do is get close enough to make some sense out of him, get through his thick skull and snap him out of his trance."

"For once, I agree with the raccoon," Rhodey said. "We all know Y/N. We're about the closest family he has left. If we can calm him down just for a few minutes we might be able to get through to him."
