'' Alexandra, wake up, we have to leave now!''

Everything seemed blurry, standing up and looking around, but she could see the outlines of things. Jakob, she thought she could see a wall or maybe a piece of a wall. Her vision came back to normal, after spending precious seconds with the room spinning blurrily around her.

The first level of the house was completely destroyed. Pieces of wood and walls lay upon the floor all around them, the small object was had been an explosive device, most likely thrown from the outside by one of the rev they had seen on the other street. They always come back in case anyone had been hidden during the execution and came out afterwards.

''C'mon, the house will bury us alive if we don't get out now!'' screamed Jakob again, half way out the door. She was pretty sure he’d been in the military. His technique, the way he moved, every muscle tensed reacting to his brain’s commands. He’d never spoken freely about his past, she’d always have to pry it out of him. The only knowledge she had about him was that he was from San Francisco, four brothers, two sisters, father died when he was seventeen, left his mom around that time and never went back. When the revolution occurred, she believed he’d would’ve wanted to reunite with his family if possible but he gave her no words and kept walking towards Colorado. They didn’t know why Colorado. They’d just started walking in the same direction.

He helped her move to the outside of the house, looking around for any revs, but it seemed as if they had simply thrown the device through the window and ran. It wasn’t an extremely fatal device, he had pushed her behind one of the sofas, their bodies against the wall. The device had done damage to the walls which we’re their biggest worries.

They ran towards the outskirt of the city staying as far away and covered from the revs with trees and houses as they could. There was no way they could go back, maybe in a few years, if they were to even survive that long. Nobody knew how it looked out there. The whole world could be in ruins, or military stations in every capital, a nuclear bomb in China could have killed their complete population. They’d never even feared this day in their little house in the middle of nowhere. They had a freakin cat, how normal human could they want to be.

They walked for miles, drinking as little of the water they had found in Jenna and Glen's home as they could. They didn't know where to go, or where they could even sleep for the night. Their priority was finding a refuge with good hiding, but easy escape strategy if ever someone would have tracked them. They wouldn’t meet anyone going the same way as them, escaping the neighbourhood because the only two other living breathing humans that had lived there we’re dead.

''What do you think they want?'' He asked, therefore startling her out of her day dream. She’d hit her head hard against the wall when Jakob had pushed her behind the sofa. No bleeding nor scar, she could feel a small bump underneath her finger as she moved it. She was told by her mother every time she hurted herself that it was better for the bump to have come out outwards for unknown reasons. She missed her mother terribly… sometimes she wishes she could only get her back. She knows it’s hurtful and truly, she should be asking for her whole family.

She never realized how two men were walking right towards them, they didn't seem armed, but nobody could have been sure. They had seen so many people disguise themselves to jump another group of people. Or children used as bait to allow time for rogues to rob a bunch of guys. They’d learn overtime to look more at the person’s approach and their vibe than anything else about them, even a child could be incredibly dangerous.
''I don't know. Let's be careful, there could be more of them around us hidden in the forest.'' She insisted looking at all the trees around them, they could definitely be good for cover. Most of the time that was how and ambush would go on.

It wasn't long before they were face to face with the three men. The one that creped her out the most had an ugly ass scar going from his left eye to the corner of his mouth. It was just there almost healed, probably a wound from the revolution’s first days, when all hell broke loose. The man seemed to be wearing it proudly, his battle scars witnesses to his history.

''Can we help you?'' asked Jakob politely. They never wanted to anger them more, before they attacked. They wanted to seem dumb to them, almost harmless, the least they expect a big fight, the bigger the surprise would be.

The men looked at each other then turned back to us. Either it was okay let’s attack them or they we’re reconsidering.

''Revs were searching the area; you might not want to go that way.'' Alexandra said, being mean to them wouldn't do us any good if those people we’re actually not going to steal anything from her and Jacob.

''Then I guess we will need some guns either way right?'' asked the one on the right, he was drop dead gorgeous, with light green eyes. The kind of eyes who have depth, not only one unified color but different shade of the same one. He looked like a beach bum, always has an amazing tan because of his days spent at the beach, with platinum blond hair that curls around his face lightly. Throughout all of his beauty there was still something ironically treating, even if he smiled a perfectly straight pair of blinding white teeth.
At the same time he said it, she felt a pressure on the side of her head… Not a headache, a physical pressure. She looked at her right side from where the pressure was coming from, slightly rotating her eyes, she saw it, a black mass. A gun.

''Now give us your guns and ammunition, do it gently and we won't hurt the girl.'' said the man with the gun breathing down her throat. His breath smelled of canned tuna and sour cream chips. If it would at least been Doritos.

Jakob did as asked and placed the bag of guns from their friends place and his crossbow on the ground never removing his eyes from the man with the gun pointed at her. His priority was her safety, and the second he’d have an opening to take out of danger he would.

''Now your turn princess.'' said the other guy, he was more chubby than the other three, well technically he was the size of the three combined. He wondered how the man even survived this long. The overweight had taken a great hit since the beginning of the revolution, whether the person wanted to lose weight or not, it was between losing the weight and death, but this guy had defied the odds.

She slowly removed all the guns and knives she had on her, giving them to the guy close to her. As she gave him the last knife, their hands touched and his we’re so warm and sweaty it seemed to her disgusting.

''Good.'' he said twisting his smile towards the right making him look more and more like the joker. He had black hair, but cut short in the same manner. Piercing green eyes that resembled the other guy’s narrowed upon her. They looked like brothers except for the hair. His picture moved when he spoke his next words. ''We are going to leave now.''

They kept their guns raised on Jakob, the others moved but the one who had a gun raised to Alexandra’s head stayed. He looked at the others starting to leave and she could see his idea creating in his head.

''Hey Roger, shouldn't we bring the girl with us?'' he finally asked once the idea had solidified in his small brain.

''If you want, she could be a fun toy.'' replied who they imagined was Roger, the boss most likely. He looked the part, dark brown curly hair, shirt open so they could see his chest hair, very manly of him. He had the whole

''Okay, you're coming with us princess.'' said that sicko. She couldn't fight back, he would simply pull the trigger.

''No!'' screamed Jakob. He leaped forward towards the guy the closest to him in a desperate attempt for an escape, but the man had a gun.
He took the back of it and knocked him out, a blow to the side of his head strong enough to make him drop unconscious.

She was getting dragged away screaming his name at the top of her lungs.
