Chapter 23 - Broken heart

- Y... Y/n... I heard even from afar Deidara's voice, calling me. "Don't bother. I'm here." I was calming him in my thoughts. I made the fire around Deidara into ashes, allowing me to see the scars I made on his skin...

I jumped from the bird, landing gracefully on the ground. I was keeping my eyes closed, I didn't need to open them, I could sense their chakra... As Sasuke's chakra started moving fast against me, I just opened my eyes, feeling how the rinnegan was awakened. I was so heated that I couldn't even see the blue sky from my red cloud. Sasuke stopped running, afraid for his life.

I wasn't able to speak from hatred. I wasn't able to stay on my legs. I kneeled on the ground, keeping balance with my hands, I closed my eyes again, making the whole ground explode from the heat. Fire erupted from it, Orochimaru's smirk grew bigger, making my fury growing too. The three of them jumped on the top of the hideout. I was keeping Deidara safe from the fire. I didn't need to jump, a hug fire wave rose me on it. Kabuto and Sasuke were surprised for sure, maybe even terrified, the same wasn't going with Orochimaru. He knew this day will come.

- SHUT UP! – I interrupted Orochimaru who was trying to tell me something, I rose the fire wave even higher behind me with my hand moves, like it was a piece of cake. I titled my index finger in their direction, which was trough me. The wave rushed at them, moving trough my body but I wasn't feeling anything. It was my chakra, my move, so it wasn't even leaving a scar on me. The wave took over the whole roof, it started dropping of it, like rain. Kabuto was the first who succumbed and the wave took his body. Orochimaru's smirk disappeared. A huge snake rushed at me, wrapping around my body. I yelled loudly, allowing the fire inside me to get hotter, burning the snake around me like a paper. Sasuke threw a lighting at me, but this time I raised the fire in a big wall, no, why not in five big walls?

- Hm. – I smirked at myself for the good idea. I put the two of them in my fire cell, leaving them without anything else but heat.

Once I was sure they are trapped, I jumped down, rushing to Deidara. He was out of his senses, I put my head on his chest, checking for his heart, but hopefully it was beating.

- I... I probably will disappoint you, *chough* but *chough* I'm still alive, un – he opened his blue eyes and smile at me, like we were both in heaven

- Got on your goddamn foot! – My tears fell down on my cheeks, happy that he was alive... I closed my eyes, hiding my face in his chest, but he got up and cupped my face in his still heated hands.

- I'm not ready to die, un. – he smiled at me, I got on my tip toes and kissed him softly. He expected everything else, but this left him shocked, still enjoying it. I separated from him, punching him gently in his shoulder

- Don't even think about dying, or I will do it myself. – I blushed a little, but he cleaned himself and called his bird to come. The fire cell was still burning, they were probably dry like raisins, so we got on the bird and flew away from it all. I threw a last fire tornado to destroy every little last piece of the hideout. It was already getting dark, and I didn't plan to keep it that long so it was pretty cold even with a robe on.

- You're shaking, un. – He grabbed me by my hand and put me in front of him, hugging me tightly. It worked, actually. I never thought I can feel like this ever again, but I guess people should forgive each other. Feeling safe again... I snugged myself in him and tried to take a little nap.

Unfortunately, back luck will always haunt me, huh.

As we were flying, something grabbed the bird's wings and we fell down. I didn't have the chance to react in time, a lighting stroke me in the chest and everything went blurry. A huge snake grabbed me before touching the ground. My paralyzed body couldn't heat up.

"Damn it, try again, Y/n.! Don't leave it like this..." my thoughts were trying to woke me up, I slightly opened my eyes and saw Deidara who wasn't caught by a snake before he fell on the ground... His leg looked broken, he wasn't moving... talking... looking at me...

"Please wake up. Don't leave me again...

I don't want to be alone..." A hot tear fell on my cheek, trying my best to move.

- You are surprising me every time, Y/n. This time it will be quick, hmm – Orochimaru's voice took lead in my mind. I barely turned my head in his direction, seeing him, Kabuto and Sasuke in front of me. They quickly vanished, taking me with them. When I turned my head back at Deidara I couldn't believe what my eyes saw.

He got up.

Cleaned his clothes.

Look at me.

And didn't came for me, he left me.

My tears were falling aggressively on my cheeks, seeing how he is looking at me, but abandoned me like he did years ago.

"Deidara...

you're dead to me."
