You appreciate it, but he never went to visit you at work, so he wouldn't know (still sweet of him)

He lets you rant and complain while he runs his hands through your hair

Inside, he wants to fight your ex-boss, but he stays with you, because that's more important

He does his best to distract you

Reminds you over and over that you were wrongfully fired

Makes cookies so you can celebrate leaving that toxic workplace

He comes back with food and looking suspiciously happy with himself

You find out the boss that fired you quit for "unknown reasons"

He's tempted to call them just to tell them exactly what he thinks, but you manage to stop him

Tells you that you can find a job anywhere-in fact, it's good that you got fired cause that place was awful

This is all said a little awkwardly, but he's trying
