Chapter 52

Victorias Pov:

We're now all just eating cake and chatting. Well..the others are eating and I'm pretty much just stealing bites from Averys cake.

I then tried to take another bite of her cake but she takes her plate and holds it closer to herself while leaning back in the chair, which makes me groan.

"Aww, c'mon. Don't be like that." I whine but she just chuckles while shaking her head.

"Nope, if you wanna eat cake get yourself one." Avery says and I groan again.

But then I get up and sit down on her lap, facing her. Avery gulps while staring at me, which makes me smirk. I then try to take the plate from her but she puts it behind my back and hands it to Zara.

"Aww c'mon." I say but she just chuckles at me.

Then I cup her cheeks and just look down at her, while she stares up back to me. Or well..my lips. I start grinning and then lean down and press my lips against her. Avery instantly puts her hands on my lower back while I drag my fingers down her cheeks and neck before placing my hands on the armrests of the chair.

"Guys, seriously? Can't behave for one day?" We hear Matthew say, which makes me pull away.

"Am I not allowed to kiss my girlfriend?" I ask with a pout while leaning my head against Averys shoulder.

Matthew rolls his eyes but smiles. "You know what I mean." He replies, making me chuckle.

"Well anyways, we're going to play music soon so if you wanna dance just join us on the dance floor." He says and Avery nods.

"Yeah, we will, right?" She responds while patting my back and I groan.

"But I'm so comfy right now." I whine and Avery chuckles before kissing my cheek.

"Wow, I didn't know Victoria could be such a bottom." I hear Zara say, which makes me gasp.

I lift my head and turn to look at her. "Oh you did not just say that." I say but she just smirks at me.

"Oh I'm pretty sure I did." She replies and I was about to say something to her when Avery starts kissing my neck.

I somehow couldn't get a word out, I just start to smile. It came so surprising and feels so good my mind just went completely blank.

"What? Can't come up with something?" Zara asks with a grin and I groan while leaning my head back against Averys shoulder, which makes the others laugh.

Music then starts playing and we all look at each other. We get up and I take Averys hand before walking to the dance floor with the others. At first there were some faster songs so we all just danced together but then a slow song starts playing.

My eyes immediately met Averys and I hold out my hand. "May I have this dance?" I ask with a small smile and she returns it while taking my hand.

"I'd love to." She responds and I then pull her closer to me before letting her hand go and wrapping my arms around her waist.

Avery lays her arms over my shoulder and then leans her head against my chest. We then start slowdancing together and when I look around everyone's eyes are on us. I guess most of them just find out about Avery dating a girl. Well..if they didn't hear the argument with her dad earlier.

I then glance at Maya and Zara and they're dancing as well. Maya has her arms around Zaras neck and is cuddled into her chest while Zara had her arms wrapped around her back. They're a adorable couple.

I lean my place my chin on Averys head and close my eyes, enjoying this moment.

"Vic?" Avery calls me and I hum in response.

"Do you think we can spend Christmas together?" She asks and I smile.

"I would love to but I can't. You know, my family loves Christmas.." I answer and she pulls away on that.

"No, you didn't get what I meant. I mean..I want to spend Christmas with you and..our families. All together." Avery explains and my eyes widen.

"O-Oh."

"Look it's just a suggestion we don't have to do that. I just thought it would be nice if our family meet each other." She mutters and I smile.

"I'd love that." I tell her and she starts smiling.

"Really?" She asks excitedly and I nod.

"Really."

I then lean down and gently press my lips against hers. Avery cups my cheeks and pulls me more into her. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her body into mine as she moves her hands up into my hair.

I don't even care if her family is watching us or not, I just want to enjoy this moment with her

I eventually pull away after a while and look at her with a soft smile.

"I can't describe how much I love you right now." Avery says, making my smile widen.

I bury my face in her shoulder while hugging her tightly. I start leaving soft kisses on her skin, on which she sighs softly.

"You can't do that when I can't let you touch me." She mumbles, which makes me chuckle.

"Later I will."
