Chapter 59

Victorias Pov:

"Okay your values look good so far but you need to stay a few more days here for observation. And of course you just had big surgeries, so you need to stay for a while. But..you can go before it's Christmas." The doctor says, which makes us all smile widely.

"Thank you so much." I reply and he gives me a small smile before taking a few steps back.

"Um..but also I have a question for you." He says as he turns to Avery.

Wait..why is he suddenly so shy?

"Eh..okay?" Avery asks, a little confused.

"I wanted to ask if you'd maybe like to grab a coffee together?" The doctor asks, making me sit up immediately.

"Um.." Avery looks behind him to me but then starts to laugh when she sees the look on my face.

"What? What's so funny?" He asks confused and Avery walks over to me and sits down on the bed.

I immediately put my hand on her thigh and she puts her hand over mine.

"I don't know how you couldn't figure this out but Victoria is my girlfriend." She tells him, on which his eyes widen.

"O-Oh. I'm so sorry. I- um...see you later.." the doctor says quickly and then embarrassedly goes out of my room.

We all laugh at that and I look back at Avery. She turns her body completely to me and I then grab her by her shirt towards me until our faces are only a few inches away from each other.

"Next time I won't just sit there and glare. You're mine. And people like him should really realize that." I whisper, my lips slightly grazing against hers.

On that her face starts to heat up, which makes me chuckle. "Yes, I'm all yours." She mumbles before pressing her lips against mine.

"I'll go get Connor from the college." I hear mom say, making us pull away.

"Okay, mom. Bye, love you." I reply and she smiles at that.

"I love you too, honey." Mom responds before leaving the room.

I look back at Avery, who's smiling at me. "What are you smiling about?" I ask as I start to smile.

"I'm just so happy you're awake again." She answers before leaning in and softly kissing me.

When she pulls away I put my hands on her hips and pull her on my lap but she stops me.

"It will hurt you." She mumbles but I shake my head.

"It doesn't. Please just..I need to feel you." I tell her, on which her face softens.

"Feel me, huh?" She mutters shyly and I chuckle while humming softly.

So Avery sits up on my lap and I put my hands on her hips. "Cuddle, please." I beg while pulling onto her shirt.

"You're sure?" She asks and I nod quickly.

Her face softens at that and she then lays down on me. I instantly wrap my arms around her as she buries her face into my neck.

"Your mom talked with my mom and we can spend Christmas together." Avery says, making my eyes widen.

"Really?" I ask excitedly and she lifts her head to look at me.

She nods with a big grin, which makes me smile widly.

"That's awesome!" I exclaim and then lean up to kiss her.

When I pull back by leaning my head back I stare up at her. "As soon as I'm out of here we really need alone time. I'm really desperate right now." I say, making her chuckle.

"You've been awake for how long now? One hour? And already all you can think about is that?" She asks with a raised eyebrow and I gives her a sheepish smile.

"But of course. As long as you want." She replies with a smile.

"But..this time you'll be the bottom. You can't even say anything against that because of your leg." Avery adds, which makes me groan.

"Fine!" I whine and she laughs before kissing my cheek.

"But you know how much I love making you feel good." I mumble and she smiles while laying back down on me.

"You can still do that." She says as she cuddles into me and I sigh with a nod.

"Okay okay."
