Chapter 63

Zaras Pov:

"And you're sure it was okay that you're bringing me?" Maya asks nervously as I park my car in front of Cara and Miches house.

"Of course, my love. I asked them and they are all excited to meet you." I tell her while turning to face her and taking her hand.

"Also um..remember when I told you it's unclear if my parents will come or not, because they live so far away?" I start and she nods slowly, while slightly titling her head.

My parents were suppose to be at Matthews wedding as well but sadly couldn't make it, since my mom got really sick. The day after the wedding I immediately went to see her and it really wasn't looking good. But now she's all better and excited to meet Maya. They both are.

I'm really lucky to have such a amazing family.

"So..um..they actually called me this morning and they'll be here." I continue and now her eyes widen.

"Why didn't you warn me?! I'm going to meet your parents!" Maya exclaims with a groan and I give her a sheepish smile.

"Oh God.." she mutters nervously, so I cup her cheeks.

"They're going to love you, don't worry." I reassure her with a smile before leaning in and softly kissing her.

"This is not too early though, is it? If this is really a problem then-"

"It's not." Maya cuts me off immediately.

"I mean..yes we haven't been dating for  long but I have to meet your parents at some point. Rather early than too late. I'm just nervous. Meeting your girlfriends parents is always a little scary." She tells me while placing her hand on my right cheek and gently brushing her thumb over it.

"So..since I'm meeting your parents today, do you want to meet mine in like two days?" She asks shyly, making me smile widely.

"I'd love to." I reply before leaning down to give her a soft peck.

"Why do you have to be so confident about everything?" Maya whines with  a groan and I can't help but chuckle at that.

"Oh I'm not. I get really nervous shortly before." I answer with a small shrug, making her smile soflty.

"C'mon, now let's go inside." We then get out of the car and walk over to the front door.

I ring the doorbell and a few seconds after the door opens and Avery greets us.

"Hey!" She exclaims happily before pulling us both in a hug.

After the hug I take Mayas hand. "Helloo." I say while walking inside with her.

We take off our jackets and shoes and put our bags on the side. The fam then started greeting us and then we went over to Victoria.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask softly but she gives me a big smile.

"I'm great, don't worry." She reassures me and I smile at that.

"Hi.." Maya says shyly, making us both look at her.

"Hey." Victoria responds with a smile, which makes her looks down embarrassedly.

We chuckle at that, on which I earn a punch in the arm from her.

"Heyy, c'mon!" I whine while wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her into me.

"Zara, is that you?"
