Chapter 50

Victorias Pov:

I've been probably searching for Avery for the last ten minutes but I can't find her. And since the ceremony is about to start I had to go back. I'm now standing upstage next to Matthew.

"So..nervous?" I ask and he takes a deep breath.

"Jap." He answers and I chuckle softly.

"Where's Avery?" Matthew asks curiously as he looks around.

"I..I don't know.." I mumble while looking around too.

But then I suddenly feel two arms around my waist from behind, which makes me jump a little. So I turn around to find Avery hugging my waist.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere." I say and she lifts her head to look at me.

"I'm sorry." She mumbles and I wrap my arms around her too.

"Don't apologize, it's fine. Now c'mon, you should get over there to the other bridesmaids." I tell her and she gives me a small nod before walking away.

But before she could do that I grab her by her hand and spin her around. I wrap my arms around her to hug her tightly.

"I love you, Aves. And I will always protect you." I whisper and she grabs my blazer tightly.

"I know you will. And I love you too." She mutters and leans up to kiss my cheeks before pulling away and walking over to the other bridesmaids.

The ceremony then starts and we all look at Bea when she walks down the aisle with..I guess her dad?

I can't wait to see Avery walk down the aisle one day..

As Bea walks closer to us I glance at Avery, who's already looking at me. When I caught her staring she immediately looks down blushing, which makes me smile.

Was she..thinking the same?

The ceremony then continues to go on but I barely heard anything. I was too busy staring at Avery.

So much has changed in the past four months..

And I couldn't be happier.

I met some more amazing friends for life and I met..the love of my life, with who I want to spend the rest of my life with. Who I want to marry and have a family with..

But I was brought out of my thoughts when I hear, "You may kiss the bride now."

I shake my head, coming back to sense. Wow, did I really just daydream the whole ceremony?

Everyone starts cheering and clapping as they kiss and so did I. Matthew and Bea then walk down the stage and start with their dance. Right after that I walk over to Avery and take her hand.

"You wanna go to our seats and wait there until we can eat cake?" I ask and she nods with a smile.

We then walk together to our table, where Zara and Maya are already waiting for us.

"Damn that was adorable." Maya says as we sit down on our seats.

We then just chat a few minutes until Matthew gently hits a glass with a spoon, making us all look at him.

"Okay so..I know you guys are probably all hungry so..the buffet is open now!" Matthew says and everyone claps before getting up and walking to the buffet.

We four then get up too and take some cake before going back to our seats. I didn't take a cake because I'm not very hungry yet.

"Damn this cake looks so yummy!" Avery exclaims excitedly before taking a bite, which makes me smile.

She groans happily, making me chuckle. "Is it really that good?" I ask and she nods with full cheeks.

After Avery finished chewing the cake she puts another bite on her fork. "Wanna try?" She asks and I nod with a small smile.

She then lifts the fork to my face and I lean forward to eat it. I smile as I chew the cake. Avery chuckles at me and then places her hand on my cheek. She brushes her thumb over my lips, which makes my eyes immediately wander down to her lips.

"Hey girls." Avery pulls away from me to look at her aunt Sara again.

"Oh hey, Sara." Avery replies with a small smile.

"So..I couldn't catch your names earlier because of what happened." Sara says as she looks at me and Maya.

"Oh, I'm Victoria and this is Maya." I respond with a small smile, which she returns.

"It's nice to meet you." She says and Maya and I smile politely.

"It's nice to meet you too." We say back.

"Avery." We all look to our right to find Averys father walking towards us.

"And this time you won't walk away."

Writing this book has been so depressing lately like- I want what they have lmao
