Chapter 41

Victorias Pov:

"Can I speak to my Avery, please?" Jack asks with his stupid brittish accent.

I instantly get up and walk over to the door. "She doesn't want to talk with you, asshole. Now leave." I tell him and close the door but he stopped it.

"Aww, don't be like that Victoria. Be a nice girl." He chuckles.

"How did you even found out where her dorm is?" I ask while crossing my arms.

"Well..I just asked a girl nicely. We even have a date later." Jack answers with a shrug while grinning up at me.

I like that I'm taller than him. Makes me feel..stronger.

Being 6'2 has it's perks. Also since Avery is only 5'4. But I think my favorite part about being this tall is that when I'm hugging Avery from behind I can put my chin on her head..

"Who was it?" Avery asks as she walks over to us.

"Aww, are you jealous?" Jack asks, on which she rolls her eyes.

"I don't want you to hurt and haress other girls." She answers while crossing her arms.

"Do you think of me that badly?" Jack asks, trying to act hurt but you could clearly see he's faking it.

"I have to go, get ready for my date." He turns around to walk away but stopped.

Jack looks over his shoulder to us and smirks. "Oh and I believe her name was Maya Smith." He says before walking away.

Our eyes widen.

"We have to find Maya." Avery says and we nod.

We quickly walk out of our dorm and to Mayas dorm..but she wasn't there. So Avery tries to call her but only the mailbox picks up.

"I'll call Oli and ask if he knows something." Connor says before taking out his phone.

As soon as he picks up he puts him on speaker. "Hey, what's up?" Oliver says.

"Hey, do you know where Maya is?" Connor asks quickly.

"Well..I'm with her right now. She says she has a date later, so she took me shopping with her." He answers and we all look at each other and stop walking.

"As soon as you're finished you have to come to Averys and Victorias dorm, okay?" He tells him sternly.

"Um..why?" Oliver asks confused.

"We'll explain later. Just do it, please." Connor replies and you can hear Oliver sigh.

"Okay, I will."

"Also um..do you maybe wanna come over to my dorm later?" He asks, on which Connor immediately turns off speaker and holds his phone to his ear, making us laugh.

"Let's go back to our dorm and just wait until they're here." I say while taking Averys hand and she nods with a sigh.

"I know you're worried about her but it's all we can do right now." I tell her and she lays her head against my arm.

We all then walk back to our dorm and just wait until Oliver and Maya are here.

The door then suddenly opens and Maya and Oliver walk in.

"Oh my god, Maya." Avery quickly rushes over to her and pulls her into a hug.

Normally I would be jealous but I know she's just concerned about her friend.

"Oliver says there a emergency." Maya says as she pulls away.

"You can't go out with Jack." Avery tells her, which makes her frown.

"Why not?" She asks while crossing her arms.

"He's not a good guy, believe me. I'm only trying to protect you." Avery answers and Maya sighs.

"How am I supposed to get over you when I can't go out with anyone?" She asks and Avery takes a deep breath.

"I-I'm not saying you can't go out with anyone, I'm just saying not with him. He's dangerous, very very dangerous, Maya. Jack he's..he's my ex boyfriend." Maya's eyes widen.

"And he wasn't a good one at all. Her hurt me many time. No, all he did was hurting me. And I don't want you to get hurt. There are so many nice girls and guys out there, who will treat you way better than he'll do." She continues and Maya looks down.

"I-I'm so sorry, Avery. I'll cancel the date."

"No, we will. We don't know what he'll do." Oliver says, making us smile.

"Thanks, boys." Avery says and they nod before walking out.

"Victoria, look I-"

"It's fine." I interrupt Maya but she just shakes her head.

"No it's not. You've been pretty nice to me even though I was a asshole. Even now you're trying to help me." She says and I sigh at that.

"After I met Jack and Avery told me everything he has done to her and probably some other girls I don't want anyone to go through the same. You're Averys friend and you're important to her so you're important to me too. Hard to admit but everyone who matters something to Avery matters to me." I tell her and she slowly starts smiling.

"So..what do say? Friends?" I ask while holding out my hand.

Maya smiles and takes my hand. "Friends." She shakes my hand and I smile a little.

"Aww, I'm so proud of you!" Avery exclaims as she pulls us both in a hug, which makes us laugh.

"So..can we find me a girlfriend now?" Maya asks, making us just laugh again.

"We can do that."

Connors Pov:

"Hey, shithead." I say as Oliver and I walk towards this Jack dude. Maya showed Oliver a picture earlier so we know how he looks like.

"What the hell do you want?" He asks while turning around to us.

"Stay away from Maya." I tell him while crossing my arms.

"And Avery and Victoria." Oli adds but Jack just scoffs at us.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" He asks while crossing his arms too.

"Just..stay away from them. If you get near them I-"

"What will you do, huh?" Jack asks with a grin.

Oliver places his hand on my arm. "Let's just go. He'll lern his lesson someday."

"Oh you two are faggs too? Is Averys whole friend group like that now? Maybe she shouldn't have gone to this college. You all are so disgusting, I can't believe she's friends with you guys. Even this Maya girl, I know she likes dudes but all the time she couldn't shut up about Avery and how great she is. Why would someone even fall for Avery? There's nothing special about this girl. No good personality, no good looks. And don't even get me started on that Latina chick. I mean..she's hot and probably would be good to fuck but that's it she-"

Jack couldn't finish his sentence because I punched him in the face.

"No one talks to my friends like that!" I yell and he spits blood on the floor before turning around and punching ne in the face too.

"Hey!" A teacher rushes over to us but Jack runs away before he could get caught.

"Directors office, now." The teacher says and I groan.

Great..
