"Oh my god shut up or they'll hear us" Jennie said giggling as she quietly walked through the forest.
Well, tried to.
"All right, all right" Lisa replied as she avoided stepping on a branch, walking right behind Jennie.
Jennie and Lisa were both currently sneaking back into their dorm room, after they left the night before to go to a one time screening of their favourite movie.
It was their favourite ever since they were in elementary, which is where they met and were practically inseparable.
Lisa is an orphan. She didn't mind it too much as she didn't know her parents well, but people always assumed that she was a bad person due to her parents being involved in some shady business back in the day before they perished.
She was always misunderstood, and everyone just assumed that she was like her parents, a no good.
Jennie was also misunderstood, but for different reasons.
She had the rarest power across all of the realms, especially Oerth.
Dark energy.
Everyone just magically assumed she was evil, and that she was also up to no good, being that only people who's minds were strong enough for the power received it.
They assumed that she would never use her power for good, even though she had never misused hers.
I guess people just wants to see what they want to see.
That's how the two of them clicked, the mutual feeling of being misunderstood had bonded them closer than ever, and now, even though they were unusually walking down a secluded path, they were inseparable.
"We're here" Jennie said as she climbed up the tree branch, Lisa following as they made it to their window, and snuck in.
They'd do this multiple times, the window and tree connection was an amazing vantage point.
Climbing in, Lisa fumbled for the light switch in the dark but almost jumped back startled at the figure sitting there in front of their table.
"Where were you?' The warden asked in her deep timbered voice as Jennie and Lisa only looked at each other.
"Were you just waiting in the dark for us?" Jennie asked with an eyebrow raised as the warden seemed to have not put a penny to that thought.
"You broke school rules. Two hour detention tomorrow" she said before teleporting out as Lisa and Jennie just looked at each other and sniggered.
"Busted"
They walked into school the next day side by side, as they'd always done.
"Look, it's the freaks" someone said as Jennie looked at him, her eyes turning purple in warning as he scurried away.
They weren't bullies, and they never used their powers against someone.
But both Jennie and Lisa had to act toughened up and strong, so that they wouldn't get bullied by others.
And when their attack range got tested, it only helped their status as the dont mess with us girls elevate, as Lisa got a 9/10 and Jennie a 10/10, the highest scores of course.
They were the only level 9 and 10 females in the school.
The boys side had a few more, as they did have a higher population in the school.
Most of the females in the realm actually went to the all female school, and there wasn't an all male school throughout the realm, which landed them going to the main campus.
It's not misogynistic, it's just stats.
Jennie was the most powerful student in the school however, as a dark energy.
We'll get more into that later, when we need to.
They walked to Lisa's locker as Jennie leaned against the neighbouring one.
"I'm so jealous your eyes change when you want them too, it's like instant colour contacts" Lisa told Jennie mentioning the earlier events.
"Hm, I guess, but they only change to purple, what if I want black, or better yet pink?" She said as Lisa only chuckled.
"Hey, as they say, we can't get everything you want" Lisa said smacking Jennie's shoulder as she fixed her bangs in the locker mirror.
"Ugh it's the goody two shoes" Jennie groaned as she saw the class president of Lisa's grade and the school president walking together and stopping at their own lockers, which unfortunately were just across there's.
"They just had to waste a perfectly good morning" she groaned at the sight of Jisoo and Rosé.
Jisoo was in her last year, which meant she would leave next year, but Rosé was in Lisa's year, and she would most likely take the representative title next year as well, or worse the school president.
Jennie was in her Junior year, which meant she still had a year left, which sadly meant Lisa would be stuck for a year without her.
They normally would have had no problem with Jisoo and Rosé, if they weren't the worst of them all.
The two were the definition of the opposite of them.
The eldest was elegant, and always feminine and had really mature features, and the younger one was always bubble and cheerful.
The student body adored them.
And unluckily, the two of them were the ones that hated Jennie and Lisa.
As the others did, they judged them on their words.
Both Jennie and Lisa had seen the two talking about them multiple times, even commenting on their darker colour schemed clothing.
They thought they were evil just like the rest of the people, without even trying to get to know the two.
And it was obvious that whenever there were school or class events, both of them would put the two of them along with the class delinquents, grouping them as if they had ever done something wrong, which they didn't.
They have them the worst tasks available, acting as if they had been punishing them for something.
But for what?
The two of them had never done anything to the paid, but it seems like they were being targeted.
They'd kept on with this for a while now.
Maybe it's because their cold demeanour had pushed them away from getting to know each other, but if you were in their shoes, you wouldn't have much of a choice.
And they clearly didn't know what lied underneath both Jennie and Lisa's cold appearances, because there was a whole story waiting to be unfolded.
