Chapter 9 (Part Three)

Jin was asleep when his phone rang. An unknown number registered on his phone but suddenly his heart stopped. 

“Hello?” Jin answered the call and he was anxious who will call in the middle of the night.

“Where are you?”

“Why did you call just now Speedy? I thought you were looking for me.”

“I know you can escape. In fact, it was all done according to my plan. So Phantom won’t suspect me for helping you.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“I let you escape the hotel room by yourself and spare the blame on me. Anyway, your uncle and cousin are now under the protective custody of the police and you don’t have to worry about them.”

“Why are you doing this?”

“I’m tired of this life, Jin. I don’t know if it’s already too late for me to repent, but I want to make things right. Now, we have no time to waste. Phantom is very eager to find you. He needs the copy of the black list. He needs to get it before anyone else does. That concrete evidence will bring him down and the whole black market. He also needs V.”

“Why that fucker needs V?”

“Apparently, V had the music box. Your man really felt that he was with an imposter. He didn’t let his guard down. That’s how much the guy loves you. You’re one lucky bastard Jin.”

Jin felt warm and he was relieved that Taehyung is safe from that damn imposter.

“Now, first things first.” Speedy’s voice disrupted his thoughts and he tightens his grip on his phone.

“You need to set him up for an entrapment operation with the police. With all the evidences against him, Bangtan will crumble down. This will be the end of his journey. But you need to be prepared. You know what I’m talking about. We are public enemies, Jin. We need to face the consequences too.” Speedy sighed as he laid down all his cards to Jin.

“I know Hyung, I know.” Jin replied with a heavy heart.

“After all of this, I want you to give your blessings with my relationship with your cousin.” Speedy blurted out which made Jin shocked.

“What? You and Noona? No way!” Jin laughed as he realized what he is trying to say.

“It just happened you know. We didn’t plan it to happen. I was the one assigned to look for them. I didn’t realize that I’m falling for her. Your cousin is the prettiest woman that I’ve ever met. Now, we really like each other. I already told her everything and she is willing to wait until everything’s okay. She is such an angel.” Speedy can’t fight his tears from falling down.

“Whoa, the great Lee Min Ho is crying over a girl! You’re really in love Hyung!” Jin laughed

“Don’t worry Hyung, everything will turn out fine.” Jin continued as he gave him assurance.

“Let’s meet tomorrow morning. I’ll text you the address. You better rest and the battle is just starting Jin. You need energy.”

“Okay Hyung. Stay safe.” Jin ended the call and stared at the ceiling.

There are so many things running on his head right now.

That imposter is still alive and now he is with Phantom.

His uncle and cousin are now safe away from Phantom’s radar.

The blacklist and the music box are the evidences that will bring Bangtan down.
