WORDS COULDN'T DESCRIBE HOW angry and hurt I was after seeing Kate and that random girl I'm kissing in the halls. Was that her attempt at trying to get back at me? Or was everything she told me just some sick lie? Did she ever even like me to begin with? Ugh, I was so pissed. I stormed out of the school and straight to my house.

It was already time for Dad's interview. We were now sitting outside of the school. The crowd cheers as dad runs through the field: waving at everyone as he does so. Dad was in the middle of the field with the announcer (they were both in their seats) while everyone else had been up in the bleachers or keeping their distance as they watched from afar. Peter, Jess, Jace, and I were sitting across from dad just out of frame. Mom and the boys had also been next to us.

Dad smiles. "Good morning, America."

"Thank you so much for coming." The blonde middle-aged looking lady says.

Jace snorts. "She's staring at James like she's about to jump on him and kiss him."

Mom scoffs. "Let her try."

I smirk, before bringing my attention back to the two adults.

"So your arrival— it was quite unexpected. When I heard I was interviewing James Rogers... I was shocked." The lady admits. "What's it like being back? How does it feel? I mean you've been gone for about two months."

Dad's brows slightly raised. "Holy shit— has it really been that long?"

The lady chuckles. "Yes, it has been. Two months of the world missing their Captain."

Mom rolls her eyes. "Such an ass kissers."

"Mom!" I snort.

Peter, Jess, Jace, and the boys all laugh in amusement.

"Well being back... I don't really have an answer to your question." Dad admits. "I mean today was my first day back yes— but everything was just as I left it. The school's the same, my family is still alive and healthy... along with the rest of the world."
