That Evening

The hug lasted long. Very long. Both Oh-Aew and Teh didn't know how long they hugged outside the balcony.

"Do you feel chilly?" Only then Teh realized they were still out the balcony. His eyes a little sore from crying on Oh-Aew's shoulder, unloading the weight of his emotions tonight. Just tonight. Teh looked up to Oh-Aew gently wiping his tears and without hesitation, his snots from his nose. Just like that. With his boney fingers.

Those fingers were cold. Teh stopped them, now grabbing on to both hands. Both were chilly.

"Teh..."

Staring into Oh-Aew's eyes again, he knew there aren't any awkwardness between them now. The tension of their previous argument definitely evaporated but Teh knew that doesn't change the fact that he has hurt Oh-Aew with his words. He knew Oh-Aew chose to focus on him now. If this doesn't prove Oh-Aew love for Teh, then Teh doesn't know what is.

Teh kissed Oh-Aew.

"Thank you," Not something Teh usually say but it must be conveyed tonight. Oh-Aew's thin lips curved into a small smile and nodded. Probably glad to see Teh sounding and looking a little better.

"Let's go back in. How about you take a shower and I make you a glass of hot milk to relax?" Teh nodded back. If this was any other day, it would have been a cute thing to tease Oh-Aew about but not tonight. Tonight, it would be peace and thoughts.

Oh-Aew didn't expect to have his own cup of warm milk waiting for him when he came out of shower. He only made a cup for Teh before he took his shower.

"Join me," Teh patted on the empty seat on the sofa. Oh-Aew took his seat, took a sip of warm milk before settling it down and then promptly settling his head on Teh's shoulder. It was a week since they met face to face after their argument at that empty street. Since then neither relented and asked to meet. Until Oh-Aew received a message from Teh's senior explaining what happened and Teh took off.

To Oh-Aew, he wasn't used to seeing Teh upset but when Teh broke down and said his thoughts, only then he understood.

He wasn't the only one who felt insecure.

Oh-Aew felt Teh's fingers slowly sneaking into his just blown hair. "Your head's really warm now, like a heat pack", Oh-Aew snorted at the comment. Not that he expect the usual goofy Teh to bounce back immediately but a little humor from Teh means he is feeling better now.

"Oh...,"

"Hmm?" Oh-Aew continued to stare at this stubborn thread poking out of his shirt. He let Teh lift his face to face him.

They are inches away. So close. Oh-Aew could see Teh's new chin stubbles too. He touched them with a finger, just tracing along the chin area. Reaching the lips, slightly dry. Teh never bothered to use lip balm.

"I am sorry," The finger stopped tracing. Oh-Aew looked up, gazes at each other. "For?"

"For hurting you the other day,"

Oh-Aew shifted slowly to sit up straight. If Teh is going to bring up the other day again then Oh-Aew want to be careful. The sleepless nights Oh-Aew had to go through since that night was not something he want again soon. It was horribly lonely without Teh.

Oh-Aew shook his head. "You already apologized just now, it's ok," Oh-Aew's attempt to ease the topic and hopefully move on. Teh realized that much. He brought their foreheads together, still caressing Oh-Aew's warm hair.

"I promise I would never do that again"

Teh's hands cupped Oh-Aew's face.

"You are never a maybe for me. I only have you and will only love you,"

Oh-Aew's vision gradually got blurry. He could only nod and he said the same.

"You too. You will never be a maybe. Only you Teh,". This time it was Teh who wiped away a stray tear trailing down. Teh gently kissed Oh-Aew again.

Gently, kissing again and again. When the moment was right, Teh scooped Oh-Aew effortlessly into a bridal carry and they headed to the bedroom.

One week worth of missing. There is much to catch up with.
