Power Naps
Teh: Oh-Aew, you are really late today, why aren't you answering my texts or calls?
Oh-Aew: Sorry, my phone battery died and I didn't get to charge it. Borrow me your power bank?
Teh: Fine. I almost wanted to go out to look for you when Bas texted me to say you are on your way. Next time, text me if you are going to be late. Why are you late anyway? Went to play with Bas again?
Oh-Aew: No. We are having a school festival event and every club's supposed to do something for it.
Teh: Oh, that's fun, I'll come check it out. When is that?
Oh-Aew: I'll let you know when the details are done.
Teh: So what will your club do?
Oh-Aew: I'm the president of the performing arts club. We are partnering with the Home Economic clubs to do a fashion show and exhibition to display traditional outfits and traditional food of our heritage.
Teh: Sounds complicated. Are you going to model?
Oh-Aew: Yeah, I have to, since I am the most handsome one of all.
Teh: HAHAHAH! What handsome? How can they choose the most ugly person! Oh my god!
Oh-Aew: Ass.
Teh: Ass not. I'm just joking. Means what? You will have to spend more time at school?
Oh-Aew: Umm....but it's not complicated so I can still come for tutor classes and your mandarin classes too so no big deal.
Teh: You look tired though. You want to take a nap before we start?
Oh-Aew: I could?
Teh: Yeah, just a quick 15-20 minutes nap. I do that too when I am tired but trust me, it helps.
Oh-Aew: Ok. Then let me borrow your bed.
Teh: No! You didn't shower yet!
Oh-Aew: Ou, then where should I take a nap then?
Teh: Hands as pillow on the table!
Oh-Aew: No, it's tiring for my neck and I didn't want to sleep on your carpet with your doggie's fur all over.
Teh: Ah, fine then, sleep on my lap.
Oh-Aew stop to look at Teh. Teh nods eagerly. He sits down and adjust his legs comfortably and pats on his thigh.
Teh: Don't worry, I showered so I am cleaner than you.
Oh-Aew: Ass.
Teh: Ass not. Do you want to nap or not?
Oh-Aew quickly sits down, takes off his red jacket and lies on the thigh. He adjusts his head in a comfortable position.
Oh-Aew: Ok, see you in 20 minutes.
Teh: 15 minutes.
Oh-Aew: 20 minutes. Please?
Teh gulps down saliva when Oh-Aew looks up to him and asks gently and sleepily.
Teh: Fi-fine. 20 minutes then. Sleep.
Oh-Aew yawns and closes his eyes, letting the drowsiness take over him.
Teh stares at his best friend napping and sighs.
Why is his heart beating so fast?
Hmm. Must be the heat.

Yukichi's Note: Actually I am curious on how Thailand or Phuket school system works. I am basing a lot of time logic based on my own experience going for tutoring classes.
In my country, we finish secondary at 17, that is matthayom 5 for Thailand and mattayom 6, 18 years old is an optional path for us since we can do our foundation college year at 18 years old. So following a schedule for M5-M6, the students should finish school around 1-2pm and then excluding school clubs, go straight to tutoring which could last 2-3 hours until 3-5pm and THEN Oh-Aew has to go for mandarin tutoring with Teh, from 5pm onwards. Pretty a hectic schedule. I used to go for tutoring classes from 2pm onwards breaking at 5-7pm and then starting again from 8-10pm then come home for homework. Yeah, that's pretty hectic as well. Perhaps this is a typical South East Asian country student schedule.
