"what did you said?" I asked pretending that I didn't heard it.
"ah.. what I mean is, kaya sayo ako as a friend haha swerte ko kasi naging kaibigan kita" he kinda stuttered in the beginning but I decided to shrugged it of. he was telling the truth naman siguro.
"aww, your words is so sweet naman. swerte din naman ako kasi naging friend kita" sabi ko pa sa kanya.
when I said that he looked disappointed, like he was expecting me to say something but I didn't said it.
he cleared his throat and changed the subject "are you hungry?" tanong niya sa akin.
"kinda" sagot ko naman sa kanya.
"anong gusto mong kainin?" tanong niya ulit.
"kahit ano, I'm not a picky eater naman" sagot ko sa tanong niya.
"hm, pizza? is it fine?" he asked, making sure that it's fine with me.
"sure" I agreed.
we went to a pizza parlor. siya na ang nag order ng pagkain namin, since hindi ko alam kung anong gusto ko.
"here's your order ma'am, sir" sabi ng waiter atsaka ibinaba sa lamesa ang ga order namin.
he just ordered pepperoni pizza, a pasta and some iced tea. the amount is just perfect for the 2 of us.
"I should've brought you to a nice restaurant, pero ang ending natin sa pizza parlor lang" biglang sabi niya habang kumakain. this man is so thoughtful naman.
"ano ka ba, it's fine. mas gusto ko pa nga ang mga ganitong places eh." I honestly told him.
the place doesn't really matter to me. ang mahalaga ay yung taong kasama ko.
"talaga?" tanong niya to make sure that I am telling him the truth. tumango naman ako.
"oo, ang mahalaga sa akin ay yung tanong kasama ko, and not the place where we are at" dagdag ko pa.
"swerte siguro ng taong mamahalin mo" sabi niya habang naka tingin sa akin.
"you think so?" tanong ko at tumango naman siya.
"pano mo naman nasabi?" I curiously asked.
"you're an ideal girl Angela. masipag, mabait, mapagkumbaba, matalino, generous, lahat na nasayo. plus napaka ganda mo pa. you're perfect. you're like an Angel" my heart skipped a bit when he said.
I think it's the first someone ever complimented me like that. sure people said that I was pretty and smart, but it's the first time I ever felt this feeling because of a compliment. he even called me an Angel!
"kaya bagay na bagay sayo yung pangalan mo. Angela," tuloy niya pa. I can feel my cheeks heating up kaya yumuko ako.
"I mean swerte naman lahat ng tao, kasi may nag mamahal sa kanila. some might not know na may nag mamahal sa kanila, but atleast they will know it sooner or later" sabi ko at itinuloy ang pagkain.
I felt like he was still staring at me kaya inangat ko ang ulo, and I saw him looking at me while smiling like a fool. he looks like he's thinking about something and I don't know what it is.
"why are you looking at me like that?" tanong ko sa kanya but he didn't replied. he looked like he was in another planet.
I waved my hand into his face and I snapped my fingers.
"welcome back to earth" sabi ko when he came back to his sense.
"where were we again?" tanong niya nang mahalatang kanina pa siya walang imik.
