Chapter 27: A Day To Remember

"Juvia! You're finally here!" Lucy cheered, pulling her into the room with the rest of the girls. She was then squeezed by her best friend from behind.

"Meredy-san!"

"She wanted to surprise you hehe," Lucy giggled.

"Is Lyon-sama also here?"

"Yeah. He didn't really want to come but I forced him too," Meredy winked. All the girls were already in their bathing suits. Erza poked her head out of the bathroom.

"Ah, Juvia is here. We're getting ready for the beach. Are you going to be swimming with us?" She questioned while tying her hair up.

"Oh um... well....you see... Juvia has this um.. from the fight with Bora...." She muttered, giving them a little peek of her scar.

"Juvia..." Meredy and Lucy said sorrowfully. Erza walked towards her to inspect it further. Her intense aura grew, thinking about all the ways she could make Bora suffer for hurting one of her members.

"That's understandable. But you don't have to worry. Wendy?"

"Yes, Erza-san!" Wendy appeared out of nowhere which scared Meredy and Lucy.

"You can heal her scar, right?" She inquired. Wendy's reaction was also concerning.

"Juvia-san... who did this to you?" She started to tear up.

"Oh no no no. It's okay Wendy-san! Juvia is okay now. It's just....kind of scary to look at..." Wendy smiled and hovered her hands over the scar, reciting an inspection chant.

"It's going to take a while but I can clean it up in 45 minutes," Wendy answered. Lucy plopped on one of the beds.

"Take all the time you need Wendy. I do want to take a little nap before we go all out today," She sighed, getting comfortable.

"The sun is blazing outside anyway. I only brought a small amount of sunscreen," Meredy said, applying some more on her face.

"Are you all sure? I really don't have to swim. I can just watch you from the shore," Juvia offered.

"No member left behind. That's our motto at FTA," Erza said righteously.

"Besides, I think Natsu-san and the others are keeping themselves busy," Wendy added, getting Juvia to lie down on the other bed so she could work her magic.

"Thank you, everyone..."

When Gray entered his room, he saw no sight of the guys and only their duffel bags scattered on the floor. He suddenly heard Natsu's distinct voice from outside the window and saw him and Lyon playing volleyball in the sand.

"Yo, ice princess. What took you guys so long?" Natsu said in an irritating tone.

"The beach is far ya know. And you guys darted the moment we left the cafeteria," Gray groaned, miraculously shirtless. "And when did you get here?" He asked Lyon who was trying to hide his sweat from trying to keep the ball suspended.

"Meredy dragged me out here once she heard the news. We had no missions scheduled for this week so why not?" Lyon huffed, trying to spike the ball on Natsu's side when he found an opening. However, Natsu's reflexes were too quick and he smacked the ball before Lyon could reach it, crashing his face on the sand.

Gray and Natsu couldn't hold their laughter as Lyon spat the sand out of his mouth.

"Ha! You can't beat the FIRE DRAGON KINGGG" Natsu cackled flexing his biceps.
