They arrived not so long after, seeing the rest of the agents funneling in. Gray parked the motorcycle a few feet away from the entrance. When he turned off the engine, they sat there for a few moments in silence. Juvia's body felt cold around him. He turned his head around slightly.

"Juvia...about what happened back there-"

"We could have saved him..." She mumbled. Gray bit his lip as her words stung his entire being.

"Juvia..."

"WE COULD HAVE SAVED HIM! WE STILL HAD TIME!" She yelled, aggressively jumping off his bike, walking towards nothing but attempting to run away from all the regret.

"Juvia! Please come back! We can talk about this-" He followed after her, grabbing her wrist.

"I thought you wanted to get revenge for what he did to you and your family Gray-sama! And yet, you ran away...and that cost him his life..." She whimpered. She clenched her fists before yanking her wrist from his grasp. "Would you have ran away if I had the bomb?"

Gray was at a loss for words.

"That's what I thought..." She swallowed her tears. "Please don't follow me..." She walked through the empty streets of town, leaving a trail of rain behind her.

All she could hear was Gajeel's voice ringing in her head. His last words on repeat over and over again.

Take care, water lily. I love you.

Oh how much she wished she could tell him the same at that moment. She didn't know how long she walked in the cold shivering rain. She ended up on the outskirts of town gazing at the shore and into the deep ocean blue. Eventually, her tired legs gave in as she plopped herself on a small cliff, relying on the rain which has soaked her from head to toe to wash away her tears. She hugged her knees tightly and tried to imagine Gajeel holding her tightly. She was reminded of how easily he was able to scoop her up after she exhausted herself after playtime in the yard.

"Please don't leave me Gajeel-kun... please..."

"Juvia?" A familiar voice asked her from a short distance. Her eyes widened, with a puddle of tears about to burst again when she saw who she was.

"L-Levy-san?" Levy smiled solemnly, with a dark umbrella over her head.

"Can I sit next to you?" She asked softly. Juvia nodded as she sat down next to her, huddling each other under the umbrella. "You're going to catch a cold at this rate. Here," She wrapped her coat around her.

"Thank you..." She sniffled, hugging herself with her warmth. "Gajeel-kun told me to tell you that-"

"He loves me?" Juvia nodded. She sighed deeply and sat quietly for a few moments before facing her. "You know, I should be the one crying and soaking in the rain and yet here you are trying to shoulder all of the pain for me," She chuckled, wiping her tears with her tiny fingers.

"I deserve it, Levy-san. If only I was strong enough to stop him..."

"I don't think strength would have stopped him... especially when it came to protecting you. No matter how strong you became, he'll always see you as his little sister..."

"Juvia can't even imagine how you are feeling right now Levy-san...and you're still trying to comfort me..."

"I've been preparing for this ever since he joined the FTA. We both knew the stakes. But no matter how much you prepare... the pain of loss will always affect you... But you have dealt with loss after loss. You would be insane if you were able to handle all of this at once," She pushed her wet hair out of the way to see her face. "You've been too strong for way too long, Juvia. Your parents, the FTA, Gajeel and I will always be a part of you. And NO ONE can take that away,"
