Chapter 13: YeeHaw

I know it's been a while. I plan on finishing this fanfic no matter how long it takes. Here is the next chapter!

Once they made their way down the mountain, Gray brought her to the ski lodge they were going to stay for the night. Don't worry. Gray made sure to get them separate rooms (sorry if you are disappointed XD). There were a lot of vacant rooms so they were able to be right next door to each other. 

"I'll meet you in the lobby in 15 minutes," Gray replied, tossing her room key. Juvia nodded and unlocked her room. She couldn't believe how roomy and rustic it was. There was one queen-sized bed with two matching nightstands. The bathroom in the far left corner was very pristine and spacious as well. She immediately eyed the bathtub, giving her plans for later. As she unpacked her belongings, she kept thinking about Gray's past. She did not realize how much pain and suffering he had dealt with. Hearing the way he described the torture and torment made her blood boil. Now more than ever did she want to be there for him, side by side for what they did to his parents and hers. She didn't care if she had to die trying as long as she was with Gray.

Gray finished unpacking his things and headed down to the lobby. He received messages on his watch which he attended to while thinking about what had happened at the mountain. He only planned on mentioning a little bit about his truth to her but ended up spewing out all of this thoughts that he hasn't vented out to anyone. He didn't understand why he did as he only recently met Juvia or was at least getting to know her. Just imagining her reaction made his heart warm and fuzzy.

"Are you ready, Gray-sama?" Juvia appeared, almost making him lose his balance. 

"Yeah. Let's go," They didn't talk the entire walk, not because they didn't want to but both of them did not know how to start a normal conversation. They entered a pub at the far end of the town which was called the "YeeHaw". Once Juvia stepped foot inside, she was hit with a potent aroma of booze. She agilely dodged a man that was being thrown in her direction. She couldn't believe how chaotic and disgusting these men were acting. Gray noticed how confused and appalled she was, making him smirk a bit. "Don't worry. They won't bite. They fawn over women," 

"G-Gray-sama!?" She squealed, light punching him on the arm.

"Yo! Gray! It's been a while," A man with a cowboy shawl greeted them. 

"Alzack. You've changed since I last saw you," Gray gave him a bro hug as they walked over to the bar. 

"You must be Ms. Juvia Lockser. I'm Alzack Connell, weapons trader for the FTA," He answered respectfully, offering his hand. Juvia was surprised by how young he looked for his age.  

"Nice to meet you," Juvia replied shyly shaking his hand. 

"I must say Gray. You've never brought a companion up these mountains ever since Ultear. She must be very special to you," Alzack grinned as he got some drinks from off the shelves. The two blushed simultaneously.

"I-It's not like that jeez...." Gray murmured as he continued to be flustered. Juvia remembered Gajeel mentioning a woman named Ultear. She assumes that they were close which kind of made her feel uneasy. However, she didn't think it was the best time to ask. 

"Come on man. You're 18 now. It's time you started dating," He continued pouring them each a glass. Gray snatched the bottle from his hands and gulped it. Juvia's jaw dropped with how quickly he gobbled up the booze. "And too early to drink responsibly for that matter," 

"You know why I came here, right?" Gray scoffed, crossing his arms and leaning forward. 

"The only reason why you ever come here," Alzack sighed facing away from them so that they couldn't see his disappointment.
