Hey everyone! It's been FOREVER since I've written a fan fic. I dreamt about this idea and I couldn't wait to spew out all my thoughts. Gruvia will always be my OTP so I had to revolve it around them. Hope you enjoy!

The salty water of the ocean soaks Juvia's pale skin. Her hands are like dolphins, leaping above the surface and diving back in. Her pastel blue hair floats on the surface, making it almost impossible for Gajeel to see her from the shore.

Gajeel was under a beach umbrella, wearing shades and reading the latest news headlines. His sleek black watch started to beep, alerting his attention. He placed the newspaper on his lap, clicked on his watch a few times until a 3d screen hovered over it (if you know the Iron Man movies, it's the same type of technology magic). A middle-aged man appeared on the screen.

"Hello Mr. Lockser, how are you?" Gajeel greeted.

"Haha. I told you a million times, and I'll tell you again. There is NO NEED to address me formally," Mr. Lockser chuckled.

"Sorry, um... Mario. You seem to be quite occupied," Gajeel responded, referring to the piles of papers on his office desk.

"Yes, I am... On top of that, I have many conference meetings," Mr. Lockser sighed. "Being a Lockser isn't easy, having to clean up shit from your ancestors,"

"I commend you for your hard work,Mr- I mean, Mario. I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure if I was in your position,"

"I commend YOU, Gajeel. Dealing with my stubborn daughter is the most tiresome task of all," Mr. Lockser praised.

"Aherm. Juvia is right here, father!" Juvia appeared right behind Gajeel, giving him a spook.

"Juvi! Sweetie! You know I'm just messing with you," Juvia rolled her eyes and dried herself with a purple polka-dotted towel. "I guess you're finished swimming for the day,"

"The sun's setting so we better get going Gajeel-kun," She said to Gajeel, completely ignoring any other stupid comment from her annoying father. "Are you eating dinner with us this time, father?

"I'm sorry hun. I have to meet with the Wellingtons. They're planning on giving away their property in Italy. I hear it's a hot spot for retirement," Her father whispered. Gajeel and Juvia packed up and headed for the black Audi e-tron (it's a popular car in movies haha).

"Father. Juvia can't believe you want to abandon the Lockser mansion, our own HERITAGE," Juvia complained.

"Once you're old enough, you will understand the pain I go through every day just to live in this expensive house. But I understand dear, you care very much of our ancestry," Mr. Lockser noted.

"I hope your meeting will go as planned Mr. Lockser," Gajeel encouraged, transferring the screen from his watch to the car window.

"No need for hoping buddy. I mean, it's ME we're talking about," He cackled.

"Your arrogance is music to my ears father," Juvia said reluctantly resting her head against the side window.

"Wow. You have changed so much sweetie. But no matter how old you get, remember that you're still my baby girl," He stated. That left a smile on Juvia's face. No matter how much she found her father annoying, he was also thankful for staying positive after losing her mother. She died right after she was born so she had no recollection of who she was beside the family portraits hung on the wall and on the corner of her father's desk.
