Her grieving would have to be put on hold because the following day, Erza finally had a plan in place. And they were going to go through with it that night. Everyone gathered around in the meeting room, even the new students since Erza requested everyone on board. Juvia sat between Gray and Gajeel, all the way up front so that she could see Erza's presentation clearly. The armored woman stood in the middle of the circle and explained the plan.

"After careful speculation, Agent Laxus and Gajeel have located Bora's main base. Please give them a round of applause for their efforts," She began, clapping for them as everyone followed. Gajeel waved his hand subtly while Laxus just stood there like a statue. "He and his men are located in a Las Vegas complex of warehouses infested with the mafia," She blew up the location in the hologram so that people can get a closer glimpse. "Their entire organization is unified which will makes this more difficult as they are already. But, I have faith that our agency can prevail as long as we follow the procedure that I will be going over right now," She cleared her throat and scrolled through a visual map of her tactics. "There are multiple floors and entrances to these warehouses. The key to outrunning this mass is by launching an element of surprise. If we spread out, putting the young students and recruits in groups and experienced agents in pairs, we can slowly but surely eliminate Bora's back up. Narrowing down the scope will lead us to him,"

"What are we planning on doing with him?" Natsu called out. Lucy was sweating pinballs right beside him. Juvia was on the edge of her seat, clenching her fists which were rested on her lap.

"We are going to capture him," Jellal interjected. Gasps emerged from the room. "Our ultimate goal is to defeat Master Jose, as it will lead to Phantom Lord's downfall. However, in order to do so, we need as much information about his weaknesses, his relations, etc. Taking Bora out of the equation will force his hand and reveal himself while also getting as much information about their operations," He detailed.

"We have the interrogation set in place with the majority of our security implemented in. On top of that, we will have monitoring schedules that every agent will participate in," Erza explained further. Everyone started moaning until she gave them the death glare. "We'll go into further detail after we capture him. I have sent out the groups and pairings corresponding to the different entrances of the warehouses to your watches. Please look over them as we prepare to launch this attack. " She closed the hologram and looked at each and every one of the agents in the room. "As for capturing Bora, Jellal and I will-"

"Juvia will do it," Juvia sprang up from her seat, putting everyone in a state of shock.

"Juvia! No!" Gajeel whispered harshly, trying to sit her back down. She wrangled free and looked at Erza with pleading eyes.

"Please, Erza-san. Juvia HAS to be the one," Erza pondered for a moment, shifting back and forth between Gajeel and her.

"I'm joining her of course," Gray suddenly stood up with his hands in his pockets. Gajeel looked at them, perplexed. "I won't let him lay a finger on her again," Erza took a deep breath and nodded.

"Alright then. It's settled,"

All the agents stockpiled their weapons while others were discussing the procedures with the new students and recruits. Each novice group was assigned one experienced agent to lead them and put their lives on the line. Natsu, Lucy, and Ultear were each assigned one. Lyon and Meredy became partners, Laxus was with Mira, Wendy with Gajeel, Gray with Juvia of course, and Erza leading the front lines while Jellal handled the rear.

Juvia read through the plans meticulously, fully aware that she was going to face Bora again. She swore to herself that she was not going to hesitate or tremble in his presence, knowing that was a possibility that her life would end by the hands of that man. Once she finished putting on her armor and outfit, she went over to the weapon room. There was a line where they had to enter with their partners, picking their desired weapons. When it was Gray and Juvia's turn, she headed over to one of the handguns and daggers. She wore the matching holsters on her leg and waist. Gray, on the other hand, picked a sword and shotgun. As he was putting them in his holsters, he glanced at Juvia who was finishing putting ammo in.

"Juvia," He spoke. Juvia immediately sprung up and looked at him.

"Gray-sama?" She questioned. He walked closer to her, making her heart beat faster.

"Remember when you told me that Bisca wondered if there was something between us?" He was now only inches away. Juvia nods, feeling the heat emitting off her red face. "I'm gonna answer that after tonight is over," Juvia's cheeks turned pink. He smirked and lightly patted her head. "So you better not lose to that bastard," Her eyes widened and she couldn't help but smile.

"I won't," Suddenly, Gajeel pushed through the line and walked into the weapons room. The two were surprised at his abrupt entrance and before they could even speak, he jumped straight to the point.

"What the hell were you thinking!?" He yelled, having never to raise his voice towards her. She stood and ground and clenched her fists.

"You are not Juvia's bodyguard," She muttered.

"You're damn right I'm not. I'm someone who cares about your damn life!" Gray remained silent but didn't leave her side. "Bora has conquered so many underground organizations and has almost killed you once. I'm not gonna let you do that to yourself again!"

"Juvia is prepared this time! Why can't you have more faith in me-"

"I don't want to lose you! ...please...I've already failed your father....I can't fail you too..." He said, with a softer tone. Gray always felt uncomfortable when he saw his vulnerable side. It reminded him of that night he visited his room. Juvia sighed and made her way outside. Before she did, she halted and said:

"On behalf of Mario Lockser, you are no longer responsible for me, Gajeel-kun," The boys have never heard her speak so deeply that it even sent chills down their spines. Gray noticed that Gajeel was out cold, standing like a lifeless puppet. He tentatively placed his hand on his shoulder.

"You have my word. No matter what," He reassured him before following Juvia to their assigned vehicle. They sat next to Lyon and Meredy while Ultear drove. Gray was teaching Lyon how to handle the weapons he chose while Meredy was concerned about Juvia who remained silent.

"Are you okay, Juvia?" She asked worriedly. Juvia smiled to comfort her but she felt awful for leaving Gajeel who was like an older brother for her. She never knew she had the courage to sever ties with him but she felt like it was unfair for him to worry about her risking her life. She doesn't want to witness him to feel guilty anymore.

"He's made of steel, Juvia," Ultear interrupted. Meredy looked at her, confuzzled while Juvia was surprised that she saw right through her. "Whatever you said to Gajeel won't stop him from caring about you," Juvia couldn't help but agree as she knew that her bond was way too strong to be severed. Moments later, she activated the portal leading them just a couple blocks away from the warehouse complex.

"Get ready," Gray told them as they unbuckled their seatbelts while Ultear parked the vehicle in a discreet spot. Seconds after, they receive a voice message on their watches from Erza.

"I know from the bottom of my heart that our agency will find a way to survive. And we have for so long, constantly battling Phantom Lord. It is my honor to be leading and joining this fight with you as your Chief Commander. Everyone is coming back alive because losing is NOT an option,"

"Wow...she is really good at that...." Lyon said, trembling. Meredy and Gray rolled their eyes and got out from the back of the vehicle.

"Good luck chickens. Don't pee your pants when you see them alright?" Ultear cackled before walking away in her strutting style.

"I can't believe she's one of the strongest agents..." Meredy said bluntly, following Lyon.

"You ready?" Gray said to Juvia, taking out his shotgun. Juvia pulled out her pistol and looked at him with determined eyes.

"Let's do this,"

And with that, they all ran quietly to their positions, waiting for the signal.
