Chapter three.

So it was Friday today almost weekend. I was in a good mood today because everything was okay between me and Darren and that meant I could sit with him and Lauren during lunch break. I went to school. I walked in the hall listening to my music but subconsciously I was singing along. And it was not whispering it was actually like really sing. So there was this girl who tapped me on my shoulder saying: you know you are singing along right like I mean everyone can hear it but I am just saying. Then she walked away. Omg did I really do that?! wow cool it is like the third day and I already screwed my reputation (not that I had one). Then I felt someone tapping on my shoulder again. But this time it wasn’t the girl it was Darren. I heard you singing he said. Argh he also heard it nice…. You heard that I said? Uhm yeah kind of the whole school could hear it. But I walked behind you. Wait what you walked behind me and you didn’t say anything? Uhm no he blushes. Why not? uhm because I actually liked it he said shyly. You liked it I asked. But I can’t even sing. Actually it was pretty good. You really think so? Yeah I do. Awh thank you. The bell rang. Oh I am sorry I need to go see you during lunch break. Bye Darren i said. Bye Bo he yelled he was almost around the corner of the hall. I went to my class I had P.E. That was one of the classes I actually enjoined because you didn’t have to be with your friends it is just your team.  We played soccer but my team sucked. I had like 5 girls who were afraid off the ball and scared their nails would break or something. And one guy who only plays something like golf or so. And then there was this guy who could actually play but he needed to be keeper. He acted like it was life or death situation so I let him. We lost with 5-0. I went to the changing room and got dressed. I went back to school it was lunch break. I walked into the cafeteria and saw Lauren and Darren sitting at a table. I went to sit with them. We talked and ate. Then Darren started to talk about what happened this morning. Lauren didn’t hear it so I was happy but then Darren told her everything so I was kind of embarrassed. He even told her what song I was singing. She laughed but just like friendly not a mean laugh. But then he said that I was singing pretty good. Lauren asked if I would sing for her but there was no way that was going to happen. So I answered with a no. no I only sing under the shower or in the car or when I am home alone I just don’t sing for people sorry. Oh it is okay Lauren said. Thanks. Lauren rose. Where are you going Darren asked. I am going to my locker I need to get some books and the lessons are starting in like 5 minutes so I see you there. Bye Bo. Bye Lauren I said. So Darren and I were alone. And it was kind of an awkward silence but then he started to talk. So do you want to come over to my house after school? Omg he asked if I want to come over okay stay calm. Uhm yeah but I can’t stay too long cause I have soccer practise this evening. Wait why did I said that I don’t even have soccer practise on Friday. What the hell is wrong with me? Oh that’s okay. So what kind of class do you have after the break? Singing what about you? I have a free period so yeah nothing. Ah okay uhm you could go to the library. Yeah..  no that is not like a really good idea. Wait I got an idea why don’t you come with me to my class? Huh? Can you just do that? Yeah we may ask people to come to the singing class to listen if we want to. Okay then I will come with you. Is Lauren there too yeah she is. So why did she went to get her books? You don’t need books for singing right? Yeah you’re right that is weird ahaha. We both laughed. Lauren is up to something. What Darren and I didn’t knew was that Lauren was trying to set us up. So are you coming with me to my class? Yeah sure. So we went to Darren’s classroom. The teacher was a young woman with dark long hair and blue eyes. She was very pretty. She was also very skinny I mean for a woman of her age. Well class today we will make pairs. And I will make them. We are going to sing a love song to each other so that is why I want to make couples containing one boy and one girl. It was a little class I think there were like 12 children there were also a few people I knew. The friends of Lauren and Darren. So the teacher was making the couples. Darren was with Lauren. I think the teacher likes them because she knows that they are best friends I guess so she must like them for pairing them up together. So now I made the couples I picked a few songs from where you can choose. I found it actually kind of interesting watching these couples discuss about what song they had to choose and some where already practising. Darren and Lauren came to me. They had picked don’t you want me baby. They went practising I listened. They both had great voices. I was shocked it was so good. Lauren went to get some water. What’s up Darren said. Apparently I was still looking kind of shocked. Oh nothing just I wish I could sing as good as you and Lauren. Awh you’re not that bad. How do you know. Couch this couch morning. I punched him on his shoulder (don’t be afraid it wasn’t hard). The time flew a half an hour had already passed. So guys quiet please, the teacher said. Who is ready to perform? No one raised their hands. I am waiting she said. A few people including Darren and Lauren raised their hands. Okay uhm Darren, Lauren do you want to start? Uhm yeah okay Lauren shall we go? Yeah okay. They walked to the stage it wasn’t that big but big enough. So we are going to sing don’t you want me. Enjoy.

Darren began to sing my heart melted his voice was so amazing. I had this weird feeling like butterflies. No that can’t be I just know him for like three days. Don’t think about it let it go just listen to the song. They finished and everyone applauded including me. They came back to me and sat down. So what did you think? I thought it was great you both have really good voices. Another couple went to sing but I didn’t know them. The song was so beautiful it made me cry a little. My hand lay on my knee and Darren touched it to comfort me but he just touched it too long you know what I mean? But I didn’t give much attention to it.  After that song the class was over and I had to go back to my own class. Uhm I will see you at the lockers after school okay? Yeah cool Bye Lauren and Darren said. Bye I said and waved at them. There was only one hour left at then it was weekend. I had anatomy. It was so boring the teacher is an old man who talks very slowly and he smells like he hadn’t washed himself for like a whole week. I was relieved when the bell finally rung. I went to my locker Darren wasn’t there yet so I got my jacket and books and waited for him. After a couple minutes he arrived. He got his jacked and books. So are you ready to go? Yes I am. I smiled at him.
