Chapter nine

I walked to my class I had two hours of chemistry now. Luckily we were doing a project so the time flew. And before I knew the bell rang and it was lunch break. I walked to the cafeteria and saw Darren, Lauren and the others. I walked to them and sat down. ‘Hey there’ ‘Hey’ everyone said. I talked with Lauren while eating my sandwiches. I looked at my watch and saw that I had only 5 minutes left before class started again and I had P.E. which meant that I had to get my clothes. ‘Darren’ I said. ‘Yes?’ ‘I need to go I have P.E.’ ‘So I need to get my clothing.’ ‘Oh’ he said a little sad. ‘At what time are you out?’ he asked. ‘One o’clock you?’  ‘Two, my last class is singing.’ ‘Cool’ ‘Do you want to come?’ ‘Yeah sure’ ‘Cool’ he smiled. ‘In what classroom is it?’ ‘In 105’ ‘okay see you then’ ‘Bye’ he gave me a hand kiss. I pretended I caught it. I went to my locker to grab my clothes and walked to the P.E. building.  We played volleyball. I had real fun. It was 5-5 we had only one minute left before the hour was over and in that one minute believe it or not I made the winning point. I was really happy and everyone in my team cheered. The teacher said the class was over so I walked to the changing rooms and I changed my gym clothes to my normal ones. I went to my locker to dump my gym stuff and went to classroom 105. When I opened the door I saw no one. This is weird I thought by myself  but then out of nowhere a few people I had seen last week in the singing class went on stage and started to sing. (listen to the song click the external link) Suddenly in the middle of the performance Darren walked to the edge of the stage. He reached out his hand and pulled me on stage. We danced that weird dance people in movies do when they both can’t dance. Not that Darren and I can’t dance we just found that funny. The song ended and the music stopped. Everyone went silent. ‘will you go out with me?’ ‘yes yes I want to go out with you!’ we hugged each other tightly. Then the teachers interrupted us. ‘urgh guys can I go on with my class now?’ ‘yeah sure I am sorry’ I said. ‘she is just kidding she knew I was going to do this.’ Darren whispered.  ‘everyone knew?’ ‘no not everyone just a few people’ he said. ‘okay guys I want you to pair up in groups of three.’ The teacher said.  Jaime rose her hand. ‘yes Jaime’ ‘there is one problem miss’ ‘and what may that be?’ ‘Well Joe is sick so we are only with eleven now so 3 groups of three and one group of two.’ ‘Well that is not a big problem right?’ ‘Lauren and Darren can be with two if that is okay with you?’ Darren shook his head just out of my sight so I could not see it but the teacher could. She looked at him with raised eyebrows. He then pointed at me. ‘or Bo could join you’ she looked at me. I shook my head wildly. ‘No why don’t they just go with the two of them you said yourself it wasn’t that big of a problem.’ Darren looked hopeless at the teacher. ‘yeah that is true but uhm…… I was wrong cause I was thinking about another lesson but that one is for tomorrow.’ She winked at Darren and he nodded. ‘Well if I really have to?’ I said. ‘Yes you have to Darren and Lauren said in unison. ‘Well okay then’ I said. ‘the task of today is that one of you plays an instrument and the other two sing a duet.’ ‘That is why I needed a trio.’ ‘Good luck everyone’ everyone began to discuss their plans and we did the same. ‘Bo can you play an instrument?’ ‘No I can’t’ I said. ‘okay that means you have to sing.’ ‘But I can’t sing!’ ‘It’s okay no one will judge you’.  *sigh* ‘okay’ ‘omg I have an awesome idea’ Lauren said in her high pitched voice. ‘Let’s do take me or leave me?’ ‘And then Darren can play the drums and we can sing’ ‘is that a good idea?’ ‘yeah I am fine with it’ Darren said. ‘And you?’ Lauren asked. ‘Well okay’ ‘but I don’t know the lyrics’ I said shyly ‘Oh that is okay we have them here somewhere in the classroom I guess’ Darren said while looking around him searching for the lyrics.  Lauren yelled from the other side off the classroom. ‘Okay let’s practise.’ While practising the teacher yelled ‘quite everyone’ ‘I am going to pick two of the four groups to do their song. Any volunteers? Darren and Lauren looked at each other and immediately rose their hands. Wait they are doing this on purpose they want me to sing. Oh I will get them I thought by myself. ‘okay well let’s start with Lauren’s group. (Listen to the uploaded song/video) When the song ended everyone applauded. ‘That was good guys good job you too Bo’ the teacher said. ‘Thanks’ I said hesitantly. ‘Okay we got 20 minutes left so let’s do one performance and then you may go because this is your last class right?’ ‘Yes’ everyone said happily. It was the group of Jaime who perform. They were really good and when they were done everyone applauded. ‘Okay guys you may go now I see you tomorrow’ everyone almost run to the door and went their separate ways. Darren and I walked together because our lockers were near each other. We got our jackets and walked towards the exit. ‘Bye cutie’ Darren said with a soft voice. ‘Bye handsome’ I said in a both teasing and sweet voice.
