a/n: well I feel kind of like doing this since I have to apologise. I’m sorry it took me a bit long to write this chapter but I’m kind of stuck lately I have so many ideas for later in the fic that I kind of already wrote…. But for the things that need to happen now I just don’t have any ideas and it’s getting kind of boring so that’s why I’m keeping the chapters quite short but I promise I’ll make it up to you guys later. Chapter nineteen.

The days had passed quickly and I woke up of the sound of singing birds on a Saturday morning. I stretched and yawned after that to get out of bed and take a shower.  I dressed and went down for breakfast. Today was the day Lauren and I were going to look for prom dresses. I was excited but very nervous on the other hand since I just don’t really wear dresses that often. But I think I’ll be fine well at least I hope so. I waited for Lauren to come since she promised to come and pick me up. And if as on cue the doorbell rang. I opened the door to be pulled into a tight hug. ‘Hey Lo’ ‘Hey’ she says in her over enthusiastic voice.  ‘Ready to go?’ she asks. I nod and get my jacket and close the door behind me.

We arrive at the mall and go in several stores not seeing anything we like. ‘Bo can we please go in here?’ Lauren says pulling me with her to a store. ‘Do I have a choice?’ I say laughing. ‘Not really’ she says giggling. We walked into the store and Lauren stopped abruptly. I followed her gaze and my eye fell on a cerulean dress. He was strapless and had a waistband with a flower on it. She walked in the direction of the dress glancing over her shoulder to see if I followed her and smiled when I did. She bites her lip. ‘Can I try it on?’ she pauses ‘Do you think it will look good on me?’ ‘Of course it will Lo’ I say smiling ‘Let’s just try it on’ she smiles and walks to the dressing rooms carrying the dress and being followed by me. I sit down on a bench and wait for Lauren to come out of the dressing rooms. The curtain opens and I let out a soft gasp. ‘Lo it’s so pretty’ I say in awe. ‘You think so?’ she asks a little shyly. ‘Definitely’ I say back. ‘Do you think Joe will like it?’ ‘I’m sure he will’ I say. ‘well then this one it is’ ‘you sure?’ ‘Yes’ ‘I’ll just get dressed back to normal’ she smiles ‘I think that’s a good idea’

After Lauren got dressed back to normal and bought the dress we got out of the shop. ‘So let’s find you a dress now’ she says. I only nod. ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘mmh nothing’ ‘Are you sure?’ ‘Yeah just I’m not really into all this….stuff’ ‘Buying dresses you mean?’ ‘yes’ I smile ‘But I’ve got you’  we both laugh and go into another store. ‘Do you have any colour preferences?’ Lauren asks. ‘Blue’ I say ‘it’s my favourite colour’ ‘What about this one?’ Lauren says and walks over to a Catalina blue dress. ‘It’s beautiful.’ I say smiling. ‘Good, well go try it on then’. I come out of the dressing room and look nervous at Lauren. ‘And..?’ ‘It’s perfect’ she says giving me a bright smile. ‘Really?’ ‘yes really Bo’ ‘Okay’ I say happily.

I arrive back home alone, Lauren had to go home because she had dance practise so I went home alone. I got inside to e greeted by my mom. ‘And?’ ‘And what?’ I ask confused. ‘Did you bought a dress?’ she asks even though she sees I’m carrying it in a bag. ‘Yes I did’ she smiles ‘Can I see it?’ ‘Sure’ I say as I get the dress out of the bag but in the same moment the doorbell rings. ‘I’ll go’ my mom says. ‘Oh hello’ I hear out of the hallway ‘one moment please’ she says and I hear footsteps coming back into the living room. ‘Bo, Darren is here….’ ‘what but?...’ I say confused. ‘Just hide it I’ll keep him busy’ she says smiling. ‘Thanks mom’ she smiles and then walks back to the hall and I hear them talking. Hide the dress hide the dress…. I pick it up together with the back and quickly go upstairs into my room. Hhhm no that’s not really smart… mom and dad’s room… just for now.  I go back downstairs and see Darren sitting on the couch with some coke. ‘Hey baby’ I smile and walk over to him and settle down on his lap. ‘And why do I deserve this visit?’ ‘Because I love you’ he says smiling. ‘I love you too’ I say and intertwine our fingers. ‘Are you ready for Thursday?’ he asks. Thursday.. oh wait prom duh… ‘Yeah I guess you?’ ‘Yeah I bought a suit yesterday together with Joe, I heard you and Lauren went shopping today’ ‘Yes we did’ ‘you’re making me curious now’ I chuckle ‘Maybe that’s my intension’ I say.  ‘But can you believe how fast it all went? Next week is prom and two weeks after is graduation’ I sigh. ‘yes I know it all went so quick’ we just sit on the couch and talk until it’s time for dinner. I asked my parents if Darren could stay and they agreed.
