Chapter fifteen.

I wake up from the tune of my phone which has to go trough as an alarm. I get my phone and stop the alarm. I realise it is Tuesday which means school. Uhg I can’t wait until graduation. Luckily it is may so only one more month to go. But first prom. I like the idea of prom on one side but on the other hand I need to wear a dress and be all fancy and stuff. I just don’t like dresses I don’t know why but everyone always says that dresses are supposed to make you feel pretty. Well I don’t feel that way I just feel uncomfortable in a dress. I prefer jeans and sneakers. I got dressed and went downstairs to have some breakfast. After breakfast I went to school and got my books out of my locker and dumped my jacket. ‘Hey baby’ I hear someone saying. I turn around to see it’s Darren. He walks over to me and pulls me into a tight embrace. ‘How are you today?’ he asks in a happy voice. ‘I’m fine’ I smile at him. ‘You?’ ‘Me too’ ‘So what about the lesson?’ ‘Oh yeah uhm’ he searches his bag.‘here it is’ he hands me a few papers. ‘What’s this?’ ‘The script’ he smiles. ‘I mean you don’t have to learn it by head but maybe you can read it a few times to see what happens and where it is about.’ I smile. ‘Of course I will’ we walk to the second floor together because we both got our class there. Our hands are intertwined and we share some glances now and then. We came near my classroom and before I went inside Darren pulled me back because he was still holding my hand. He pulled me back and gave me a little kiss ‘Bye sweetie see you at lunch break’ i say. ‘Bye honey’ he winks and then walks away. The lessons are so boring but it’s only five minutes until lunch break now so I think I can handle that. The bell rigs and everyone stands up to collect their stuff. I’m already done so I walk out of the class waiting on the hallway to see if Darren is here too but I don’t see him so I walk to the cafeteria. ‘Hey Bo’ Lauren yells from the other side of the cafeteria. She is sitting next to Joe and on the other side to Darren who is sitting next to an empty spot. I walk over to them. ‘Come one Bo I saved you a seat’ Darren says. I sit down on the empty spot next to Darren.  ‘Hey lo’ she looks at me and  beckons me to follow her gaze which I do. She is looking to her own hand which is being hold by Joe’s. I raise one eyebrow looking back at Lauren with a questioning look again she nods happily. I smile at her. I did know Lauren was in love with Joe but she always said he didn’t like her back so I didn’t expect this. ‘I’ll tell you later’ she whispered and lay her head down on Joe’s shoulder. I softly poked Darren on his shoulder and nodded in their direction. ‘I know’ he whispered. ‘Aren’t they cute’ I whispered back. He smiled. Darren grabbed my hand and squeezed it. ‘But you’re the cutest’ he said and I blushed. I ate my lunch sharing some of it with Darren. And then the bell rang. Everyone stood up and got back to their classes. ‘Where is your class?’ ‘Room 206’ ‘Okay cool see you there in an hour’ ‘Bye honey’ he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. ‘Bye handsome’ I said smiling. I went to my lesson. We needed to work on our projects. The time flew and then the bell rang. I got my stuff and went to room 206. there was nobody there yet so I could read the script one more time. I was at the last page when I heard noise and saw Darren’s class coming. I think it were 25 people which made me more nervous than I already was. I needed to perform for all these people? Help. I felt some arm wrapping around me from behind and I turned around to see Darren standing with a huge grin on his face. ‘Are you excited?’ he asked. ‘Excited? More like super nervous.’ He laughed. ‘Don’t laugh at me like that!’ ‘You’ll be fine’ the teacher opened the door and everyone went in. I sat down next to Darren with Lauren and Joe sitting behind us. ‘Okay Class today’s turn is Darren so I would like to give him the word’ Darren stood up and walked over to the front of the classroom. ‘Okay as you may know today it’s my turn to give the lesson so I prepared something for you guys.’ ‘I prepared a love scene which everyone is going to play but there is a catch’ he laughs. ‘Rule one I make the pairs’ everyone began to speak as he said that. ‘Quiet guys’ everyone fell silent again. ‘Rule number two you may only act in one emotions but try to make difference in the emotion.’ Because you can be sad’ he looked sad to the ground. ‘Or you can be really sad.’ He started to cry. ‘You see what I mean?’ everyone nodded. ‘But to make it a little clearer Bo and I are going to play a little scene for you guys as example’ everyone looked at me and I blushed. ‘Come on’ he said. He walked to the stage turning around to see if I followed him which I did. ‘Okay so Bo will play annoyed  and I will play sad’ okay so here we go.’ ‘Bo I---I love you s-s-so much.’ Darren said in a crying voice. ‘Yeah yeah I know’ I say in a annoyed voice. ‘But..’ he cries. ‘Can you stop crying?’ I say while pushing Darren away. ‘I-I can’t s-s-stop c-crying because I l-love you so much honey’ ‘I know that just stop now’ I say while looking away. So that was the example. I’m going to pair you up now and then you may practise I’ve got the scripts here.’ He pointed at the edge of the stage. And in the end I will choose one or two groups to show their scene. ‘Okay so uhm everyone stand up make two lines one with the girls and one with the boys.’ Okay Lauren and Joe you may go together get a script and go practise and of course you may change the lines a bit.’ ‘Okay uhm Joey and Jaime’ ‘Brian and Meredith’ when he paired everyone up he sat down on the stage next to me. ‘So what did you think of it?’ ‘I think you’re doing it great’ I smiled. ‘That’s not what I meant. ‘I mean did you like the acting?’ ‘Of course I liked it’ ‘I never said I don’t like acting or dancing or singing, I only said I can’t but liking something or being able to do it are two different things Dare.’ ‘I know’ he said. ‘Do you already know what you want to do when you graduated?’ ‘I mean if we are talking about things like this  ‘ I don’t know but First see if I graduate.’ ‘Of course you will don’t be silly’ ‘What about you?’ I asked curiously. ‘Well I want to go trough with acting you know’ he smiled. ‘Cool’ I said. ‘But hey don’t get to famous!’ ‘Why not?’ he asked puzzled. ‘Because I don’t want to share you’ I say smiling. He laughed. ‘We’ll see about that’ he said. He stood up. ‘Okay everyone time is up’ ‘any volunteers to show their scene?’ he asked hopefully. Lauren and Joe slowly raised their hands but that was probably because they wanted to help him and not because they wanted to show their scene. ‘Okay Lauren Joe go ahead the stage is yours.’ ‘Lauren  I think I-I love you’ Joe says hesitantly.  ‘Yeah yeah I knew it’ Lauren says while jumping up and down on the stage. ‘But..’ he says while looking to the ground.  ‘please stop you should be happy’ she says while grabbing his hand and swinging it back and forth. ‘I-I can’t and that’s because I l-love you so much’ ‘I know that just stop now’ she says while quickly kissing his hand. ‘Well done’ ‘I suppose Joe was playing shy and Lauren Enthusiast Is that correct?’ they both nod. ’Okay guys I wanted to do another pair too but time is up so we can’t’ the teacher walked back to her bureau and sat down. ‘Okay guys give an applause for Darren’ everyone applauded and she began to talk again. ‘Okay guys that’s enough quiet now please’ everyone was still talking. ‘Guys’ she yelled. No effect. Then she whistled at her fingers and everyone became quiet. ‘I only wanted to say that the next lesson is for Joe’ he sighed. ‘And now you may all go’ she said. Everyone stood up and left the class. ‘Well done Darren’ she said when he walked towards the door ‘thanks’ he said. We walked down the hallway hands intertwined and eyes locked on each other.
